The chicken recipe that I use a lot is basically a marinade of olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and thyme. Sometimes I add some sun dried tomatoe paste in there too. I mix up all the ingredients and pour over the chicken, cover and leave in the fridge before I go to work. Then I just grill it when I come home. Works good on a barbaque too.
Its really quick and simple and more importantly - tasty.
Wow that sounds pretty good... Thank You. Is there anything w/o the olive oil.. or I think I'll just substitue oil for yogurt.. :)
I suppose you could use yogurt but to tell the truth there's not that much oil in there. And I also find that because the oil was in the marinade you don't need to oil your griddle or grill.
forgot to mention.....if you do add sun dried tomatoe paste then don't use oilve oil, as its already in the paste.
^ Great!!! I love that part.
okay just realised there is no 'e' on the end of tomato.
shahreen, e or no e,

i love sundried tomatoes
with or without the e

That sounds delicious! WIll try it :-)
I used to keep keep marinaded chicken in the freezer then take the bag out and let it defrost in the fridge during the day. The meat is always so much more tender that way.
Chicken my speciality.. :rotato:
Ok here’s one of my recipes, its called ‘Chilli Chicken’. And as the name suggests, this is supposted to be very very hot, but you can add as many or as less pepper as you wish.. ![]()
(No salt is needed, and don’t add any powdered chilli) <~~ That would be an insult to my recipe ![]()
Ingredients:
Preparation:
Now:
Put the Chicken wings in a deep pan
Add all the sliced onions to it,
(make sure that you just add that much water, that all the Wings are just below the water level in the pan!)
when this whole thing starts to boil, add soya sauce to it. You can use half a bottle of the soya.
Add the green pepper to it
Let it boil ![]()
*(Don’t put any lid on the pan, let most of the water to evaporate) *
Add some more soya sauce if needed.
Just before you see that the Wings are almost done, add some lemon juice to it, and serve, put some ‘Dhanniya’ on top of it.
Voilá! ![]()
Boun Appetité
PS: I made this once, at a milaad at our home, And it was finished in no time ![]()
