Re: need advice for bridal dress
Hey I have a friend that’s exactly your size/body shape (it seems) and she wore something like this:
Fishnets look REALLY nice on thinner girls and it’ll give you the shape that you want. Also, full sleeves look REALLY nice.
And the color is nice too (since you seem to want to wear red, based on your wedding dress preferences above).
^ how did she walk in that???
i’d say take full advantage of your height and figure and go for something form-fitting and shapely but maybe not as extreme as the above picture. and instead of doing straight half sleeves, how about doing cap sleeves? they’ll add a bit more interest to the kameez and because they’re slightly poufy, they’ll also balance out your arms.
example of the cap sleeves i’m referring to:

you can also do longer short sleeves if you dont want to go fullsleeves…

Re: need advice for bridal dress
U ARE LUCKY U CAN WEAR WHATEVER U WANT!
Re: need advice for bridal dress
sara's right. You can wear whatever you want.
Yeah, the one that I posted is a bit extreme. But fishnets of some sort look nice on thinner girls because they add shape to thighs without looking bad.
I'll try to find pictures of some more.
Re: need advice for bridal dress
One thing that concerns me is that are these pictures from someone's albums etc as they seem like that or from web?
Re: need advice for bridal dress
^ probably a mix of both. why does that concern you? :)
Re: need advice for bridal dress
wen u go to designer or even a gud dress maker they told u which type of dress material is suitable 4 u, so its not ur headache, jus go there check the stuffn thats all.
i would say wear long sleeves or at least quarter.
try to wear pakeeza style dupatta that can hide ur extra thinness nad luks great for tall, smaart girls...then tell ur designer that i want this style of dupatta so the major wrk would b on dupatta borders n not o the blouse.
try to have necklace rather than haar.

I just hope they have the person's permission to post it on the web thats all....I wouldn't want my pictures posted without my knowledge:)
Re: need advice for bridal dress
mmkaki i as in the same exact position as u when I was getting married and I would highly recommend that u go for a very well fitted dress no matter what color or design u may choose trust me that makes a big difference..true like SGC said don't go as fitted as the picture lahorikudi posted but more or less like that
also full sleeves would look beautiful on girls with skinny arms trust me i am speaking from experience!

i highly doubt it... the 'net is more or less a big ole free for all but i understand your point :)

Wheres the fishnet? ![]()
sara: that’s the fishnet…

I donot agree with net being free for all thing, but oh well , my two cents.
i dont think u r that thin u r really smart actually…make ur lehenga wid a lot of gher even if its gharara it should have really large gher bohat ziada chunat ho us mai…dont keep ur dupatta at the back cover ur front… and if ur lehnga/gharara has less kaam make sure it has a lot of bootis dont keep it plain …keep ur jewlery lite not very heavy not very lite something in middle…i wouldnt recommend net or chiffons for thin girls i think u should go for something in jamawar or silk like this one:
but if u r really tall dun wear a two legged gharara but go for a lehnga
thnxx for the reply …well um planning to wear quarter sleeves as i m wearing in that pic and had lots of chooorian so my wrists couldnt be seeen my arms are not that thin but my wrist is :(…n about red i found all these pics through gupshup and havent found some thing appealing other than red for barat i wana have red base but with some other color combos
well my arms are not like that the ones in the pics …ive got thin arms …well u ppl have seen kareena kapoor how thin she is now days… um much thinner then her
so u still think i should go for cap sleeeves …i love them but my physic restricts me to wear them
