mmkaki i as in the same exact position as u when I was getting married and I would highly recommend that u go for a very well fitted dress no matter what color or design u may choose trust me that makes a big difference..true like SGC said don't go as fitted as the picture lahorikudi posted but more or less like that
also full sleeves would look beautiful on girls with skinny arms trust me i am speaking from experience!
thnxx alot :) well yeaa i will go for quater sleeves and lots of choorian so that i can cover up my thinness
thnxx a lot should i wear a longer shirt with gharara?? my sis asked me to so should i go with it?
n im in love with this gharara n wana have some thing like this on barat ..im not that tall ive got average height so i can go with gharara then …i was just concerend that i wouldnt look very thin …yea u rite i should take the duppatta at front
thnxx for the reply ....well um planning to wear quarter sleeves as i m wearing in that pic and had lots of chooorian so my wrists couldnt be seeen my arms are not that thin but my wrist is :(....n about red i found all these pics through gupshup and havent found some thing appealing other than red for barat i wana have red base but with some other color combos
yep my concerns were exactly like yours.
full sleeves look pretty, but you know for wedding, since u are going to have churiyaan and karay and what not,
its better if u do this, as u said, quarter sleeves, with lots of chooriyan..i mixed gold and kaanch ki choriyan...and had different types of karay on both ends too
also for the dress, ghararas etc or anythhing with more 'gher' or chunnat will look good. (not saying it should be poofy, but it should have a gher)..when i was about to get married, the Mermaid style of dresses were really really newly IN... and ppl used to say, oh they will look so good, on someone with thin figure... my friends who were a little full figured used to think that that type of dress will look good on me and not on them ...
but when I tried these mermaid, fishtail type dresses on, I found out that ppl were dead WRONG .... mermaid style or fishtail style did not look good at me at all...you need to have some curves, some hips, some thighs to carry those dresses off... no matter how small a size i tried, it still didn't suit me one bit... the dress didnt get the shape it was supposed to, coz I had no hips or tighs lol...
on the other hand those full figured or normal weight friends (as opposed to me who was underweight), looked awesome, much smarter and slimmer... in mermaid styles...
i ended up going with a very traditional gharara type thing and it looked good... Try some thing in each style on yourself by going to stores that have ready made stuff (for example try a lehnga, and a fishnet , and a gharara etc on), before ordering it in the colour/kaam of your choice..
i have a feeling that thethree pics u posted yourself in your first post of red dresses, they will all look good because they have gher...
but plz plz dont order a mermaid style or fishtail style before trying something like that on first...
