Just tell the sister. If something goes wrong, God forbid, the guilt will always be there.

Such an odd situation. But I'm just more curious as to why her parents "don't care?" That's the part that seems do odd to me. If she's still living at home but yet her parents don't seemed concerned at all or?

yeah, they are the type that are like, do what you want since you won't listen to us, and we won't be a part of it either. So, the part about her not listening to her parents is because the rishtas that they bring forth are not good (according to my friend), education, job wise etc etc. so, her parents take nom interest in what is going on now. same thing happed with her sister here that i am also friends with. she didnt like any of the rishtas her mom produced, and she liked another guy anyway, so, now mA they are planning their wedding next year, without the involvement of my friend's parents, they dont even know when the wedding will be !
Re: Need advice for a friend travelling for a guy
I’m still dumbfounded as to how she is “working” or will “still have to work” in America if she doesn’t even have a basic high school education. You can’t so much of anything without a diploma or GED. ![]()

So your friend who has no basic education is discriminating against rishtas who don't have an education or good career?
I am so sorry but this chick seems off her rocker to me...like she doesn't seem balanced.
I'd stay out of it if I were you. Let her figure things out on her own. Qualified rishtas also desire qualified rishtas. Let's say your friend is a hoor pari of some sort and is riding on her looks to get a man...no professional man in the States wants a beautiful wife that is uneducated with poor decision making skills.
And yeah...you can't even flip burgers in the US without a GED at the minimum.
Re: Need advice for a friend travelling for a guy
^^ exactly !
Discriminating against guys who are like her lifestyle, education etc etc - her calibre. I guess it's because she is relying on the "man of the house" to be the better provider or even support her 100%.. But apparently this guy in pak is perfect although they've never met ... ugh I'm so worried.. even my hubby tried knocking some sense into her the other day, didn't work :( I guess I do have no choice but to stay out, and just wish her well, hoping we all get to see her again
Re: Need advice for a friend travelling for a guy
yeah she has been working at a coffee shop for years now. So I guess it wasn’t necessary. High school kids who aren’t graduated yet can hold jobs, so same thing in way= (no education).
Re: Need advice for a friend travelling for a guy
I know someone who got a job in a pharmacy in high school, and worked her way up to being manager of it, but didn’t even have an associates. Judging by the way she behaved at work and with coworkers, she was a stereotypical uneducated person anyways, but yeah its possible to have some sort of job without a degree.
@akaprincess .. you seem lik ea normal person. How are you freinds w this person:konfused:
Re: Need advice for a friend travelling for a guy
I choose my friends based on how they treat me and whether they are there for me for the long haul or not. I may not always agree with their choices. She is one of those people.
