Did you have any near death experience ?
Did it change your life in any way ?
I have had four near death experience. Two car crashes in which my cars got destroyed totally.
Two times armed robbers pointed gun at my head .
I did not fear for my life then and ever. I a firm believer that it will happen whenever it is ordained to be , nothing can change it.

Re: Near death experiences.
1) Escaped horrible car crash in USA while going back home from work. Car was totaled and Allah kept me in senses to make way out of the burning car (no it was not burning as full burning but wires started to burn and smoke filled).
2) Was cornered by robbers (5 of them, armed with pistol, knives and bike chains ) in NJ on a dead end street. It was with family and begum was wearing Gold on our way to wedding. We were staying at hotel and did not know the area. Took a wrong turn and was cornered while making U turn. I decided in my mind that I am doing whatever it takes to get my family out of there and indeed, I ended up running over couple of them.
Re: Near death experiences.
I crashed my truck recently, drove right into a very visible pole. I don't know how it happened, it was 6 in the morning ok!
I think I fainted for a minute or so due to the airbag hitting me in the face. It was one of those filmy moments where everything slows down and you can hear your heartbeat. This gentleman who saw the accident was asking if I were okay and I drew a blank. Basically, I didn't die. My face looked busted for two days!
I was in a falat car accident when I was 4 in Pakistan. They say they almost lost me. My skull pretty much popped open. I had 60some stitches and spent most of my childhood visting doctors. I have faint memories of the crash, bloody clothes, people around us, the dead driver, my mother crying, and just complete chaos.

Wow.
Re: Near death experiences.
Wow, these are intense. The closest thing I have come to death was when I was 5-6 and we had went to Pakistan for a vacation and were visiting Murree from Lahore. There was this pond/fountain all of cousins were sitting around and I accidentally fell in. My younger brother who was 3 at the time held on to my dress to save me and fell in too. We were both about to drown because the fountain turned out to be 10 ft deep but thankfully a couple was walking by and had heard all my cousins/mom/khalas yelling and the man rushed over, jumped in and saved us both.
I've had a fear of deep water ever since.
Re: Near death experiences.
^oh my God ...that's scary.
I can't recall any near death experience, just a little road accident...errmmm....I don't know if the time of childbirth counts?
Re: Near death experiences.
Managed to avoid a car crash that could’ve been deadly. And once on foot, nearly got hit by a car coz I wasn’t looking. =p
Fell off the stairs when I was like 7 or 8.. didn’t roll down the stairs, rather fell over the railing straight on top a person and then hit the ground.. Had I hit the ground directly, I would’ve had major injuries and might have even died. But I was only unconscious for a few hours, no injuries Alhumdulillah. I had worn lehenga for the first time then so tripped because of it
It was my khala’s wedding and everyone still accuses me of ruining the day for everyone ![]()
Fell terribly sick when I was 9, was diagnosed with jaundice/liver failure. Missed months of school, started losing my hair, turned all yellow! Mum used to sit beside my nearly lifeless body and cry all the time. I’d throw up all medicines, all food, couldn’t tolerate a single bite going into my body. Took months but I finally recovered Alhumdulillah. Went back to school and scared everyone with my very yellow eyes! o_O
Was followed by some nackers on my way back from college. I just kept walking and reciting ayat-al-kursi, pretending I wasn’t scared, one of them had a knife, the other one kept blowing fireworks in my way. They were just trying to scare me I guess and when I didn’t react/run, they turned back. Or may be they realised I had nothing on me that they could rob, I was just carrying a shoulder bag with books in it.
That’s all I can think of right now, they’re more like scary situations i’ve been in, not really NDEs I guess. May Allah swt keep everyone His amaan.
Re: Near death experiences.
I was in grade 9 and while playing football fell down right on my chest, for 20-30 seconds despite being aware, i could not breath or move, then all of a sudden it was back to normal. Only later when i saw people going in V Fib did i realise what it was. You can read more here Commotio cordis - Wikipedia

I opened that NDE thread in the Science forum not too long ago. No one really knew about it tbh... i mean no one here has experienced "the light" n stuff... so you won't get many posts on that sort of NDE
Re: Near death experiences.
hey, i did not know about that thread.
I did experience “the light” and “tunnel” experience…
that is when i was travelling on I-95 from Washington to Baltimore … ![]()
