Mavericks doesn't have a proper defense, they will pay a huge price against Spurs but the explosive offense will make it up.
Since Lakers are out, I think East has a very good chance of winning.
[/QUOTE]

Don't misjudge Mavericks, they have very deep bench they can give spurs hard time but i know they will not be able to pass Spurs unless something happend to Duncan.

Spurs Vs Net in the NBA final

Eventhough Jason Kidd is one of the best guard in NBA i think Spurs win the NBC campionship.

MAVERICKS vs SPURS

SPURS stunned!

[thumb=B]captduncan.JPG[/thumb]

San Antonio Spurs Tim Duncan walks away from the freethrow line after missing a shot in the final minute.

Can you imgaine SPURS led by 18 pts in the first qtr, 9 pts in the during the half time, 11 pts in the fourth qtr and lost the game by 3 pts? Well friends, then imgaine now 'cause MAVS outplayed SPURS tonight. FTs were the difference.

[thumb=B]captdirk.JPG[/thumb]

Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki slams the ball home in front of San Antonio Spurs forward Tim Duncan.

Trailing the entire second half except for when it counted, the MAVS defeated the SPURS 113-110 on Monday to take a 1-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals. Dirk Nowitzki put up 38 points and pulled down 15 rebounds for Dallas, which was down 18 at one point. Not only a great win for MAVS but also making a record of shooting 49 straight FTs.

[thumb=B]captparker.JPG[/thumb]

San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker (9) falls away while trying to shoot against Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki (41).

How did MAVS do it? Don Nelson's strategy-->Keep fouling Bruce Bowen, who was 40% from the line in the regular season, missed 5 out of 10. SPURS were getting jump shots, ball movement was there from inside, outside and from perimeter to the paint area in the 1st qtr. In the 2nd qtr, as Bowen missed couple of FTs, MAVS got rebounds, which they converted into buckets, Ha!

[thumb=B]captmike1.JPG[/thumb]

Dallas Mavericks guard Michael Finley, center, looks for help after being covered by San Antonio Spurs center David Robinson, left, and guard Emanuel Ginobili (20).

Like Magic Johnson says MAVS broke SPURS rhythm. That's how you do it when you need to figured out your own energy and rhythm by penetrating opposite team. Quite frankly, other NBA teams should learn from MAVS of what they did tonight against SPURS. Also, it made SPURS in foul trouble. Including, Tim Duncan, who had 5 fouls with 40 pts, three starters from SPURS were in foul trouble with Ginobili from the bench.

[thumb=B]captmike.JPG[/thumb]

Dallas Mavericks guard Michael Finley (4) dunks the ball.

I thought Michael Finely was amazing tonight. He made alot of shots options for rest of his teammates. Also, Steve Nash showed off his energy. Nash and Raja Bell were quite. No problem MAVS, just a one Game. They gonna be in form when they play in home-court.

Game 2 is in San Antonio on Wednesday.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:**

Detriot PISTONS vs New Jersey NETS - NETS lead 1-0.

WESTERN CONFERENCE:

Dallas MAVERICKS vs San Antonio SPURS - ** MAVS lead 1-0.**

Mavs beat the Spurs thru their quick offense and free throw shooting.
If you remember, Phoenix Suns also won the fist game vs. Spurs in San Antonio, playing similarly. Expect the Spurs to come out strong next game and dictate the pace of the game.

spurs is a nice team...no doubt about it. however, mavericks are no suns either. i expectg a game 7. this series is probably going to be better than the finals..

Oh yes, Tind Duncan the MVP of NBA’s team lost to Mavs. :k: Mavs gonna kick their ass now.

:rotfl: Good one, Dude. :biggthumb

Dallas got lucky. They will get their asses whupped come tomorrow.

LOL! The whole Tind hairdo in NBA was started by Kareem Abdul Jabbar and later when MJ got the Tind, it became a fashion statement :smiley:

OMG :smack: the Spurs lost :smack: but i m happy cuz these beat teh lakers :smash: :smash:

NETS vs PISTONS

New Jersey NETS are on fire!

[thumb=B]kenmarti_200_030520.JPG[/thumb]

Keyon Martin - Game 2 Difference!

Kenyon Martin scored 16 of his 25 points in the fourth qtr, leading the NETS to an 88-86 win over the PISTONS, giving New Jersey a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals.

[thumb=B]captmartin.JPG[/thumb]

New Jersey Nets forward Kenyon Martin (6) reaches in on Detroit Pistons center Clifford Robinson.

PISTONS blew off 11 pts lead in the fourth qtr just like they did in day before yesterday's Game at home. Not a good sign for PISTONS. Rick Carlisle can only yells from the sidelines. It wasn't a good idea to bring Tayshun Prince in a starting line-up.

[thumb=B]captbenwallace.JPG[/thumb]

Detroit Pistons forward Ben Wallace, right, reaches in on New Jersey Nets guard Kerry Kittles.

[thumb=B]captrick.JPG[/thumb]

Detroit Pistons head coach Rick Carlisle commitments didn't work out despite of home-court advantage!

Game 3 is on Wednesday as the series of Best 7-Game heads to New Jersey. I smell another swept from the NETS unless PISTONS could play defensively.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:**

  • Detriot PISTONS vs New Jersey NETS - **NETS lead 2-0.

WESTERN CONFERENCE:**

Dallas MAVERICKS vs San Antonio SPURS - MAVS lead 1-0.

What a great game between Dallas and SA. Spurs lead the whole way but a brilliant comeback from Dallas.
Thats what I love about this Dallas outfit, their ability to fightback whenver and their explosive offense is danger to any quality team.

Dirk Nowitzki was brilliant.

Amazing to see that all 3 matches have been won by away team in the conference finals.

i would love anybody but the lakers win it all. they suck.. i mean look at their jerseys…all yellow…

MAVERICKS vs SPURS

[thumb=B]capttim.JPG[/thumb]

San Antonio Spurs forward Tim Duncan points upcourt after making a dunk shot against the Dallas Mavericks.

Game 2 belongs to SPURS, technically speaking!

A scorching first half got the SPURS out to a very big lead as they defeated the MAVERICKS 119-106 on Wednesday to even the Western Conference Finals at one game apiece. Tim Duncan had 32 points and Malik Rose, off the bench, scored 25 pts for the SPURS.

[thumb=B]captnel.JPG[/thumb]

Dallas Mavericks coach Don Nelson is escorted off the court after being ejected.

MAVS weren't aggressive tonight as they were in Game 1. Dirk Nowitzki had three fouls in the first qtr. Don Nelson was ejected from the court over arguing with the ref. Later assistant of MAVS was also ejected. Trailing by as much as 18 pts, the MAVERICKS were able to cut the SPURS' lead to just eight in the fourth qtr but lost the Game in the closing minutes. Popvinch's SPURS should take note of it. This is not the first time SPURS blew off more than 20 pts lead.

[thumb=B]captdirk1.JPG[/thumb]

*Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki (41) walks away from referee Ted Bernhardt after being charged with a foul. *

IMO, MAVS did put a great fight against SPURS without any support from their head coach. Though, they lost the Game but I guess that momentum will more flourish in their home-court(Dallas). If MAVS play defensively(which they aren't), take as much as defensive rebs(which they can't get), they gotta hell of a chance to eliminate SPURS. Nelly, you gotta get together MAVS on these two huge aspects of the ball game. You can't beat a team without strong defence.

[thumb=B]captmalik.JPG[/thumb]

San Antonio Spurs forward Malik Rose (31) reaches for a rebound in front of Dallas Mavericks guard Walt Williams (43). Watching the action is Spurs Tim Duncan, left, and Maverks guard Raja Bell (11)

I thought Malik Rose's performance was phenomenal tonight. He was hurt in Game 1, and able to bounced back in Game 2 with huge 25 pts contribution off the bench.

Game 3 is on Friday as the series of Best 7-Game heads to Dallas. :)

EASTERN CONFERENCE:**

  • Detriot PISTONS vs New Jersey NETS - **NETS lead 2-0.

WESTERN CONFERENCE:**

  • Dallas MAVERICKS vs San Antonio SPURS - Series tied lead 1-1.

Once again Mavs having that strong offense but no defensive play, Spurs played very well, though there was a little hint of a comeback from Dallas but Spurs basically dominated the whole game.

Dallas should feel pretty good with the way they played 2 games in San Antonio. How Spurs play the next 2 games in Dallas will most likely determine who wins the West.
The funniest part for me in the last nights game was Del Harris strolling casually in the court to have a chat with referee and getting thrown out. What did Del expect? Referre gonna kiss him or something. I think Del wanted to be thrown out to make a scene.

the NBA refs had a lot to do with the game's results. is that what home court advantage is all about.?????

add me to that too. go texas

Calm down buddy. It’s ok if they lost.
I could care less about who wins or loses the western conference finals. The point is the entertainment we get to see as a result of a one-line statment a person makes to rile up someone like yourself. :smiley:
A whole essay in reply to a mere one-line post. Thanks 5Abi. You’ve made my day. :smiley:
Hurray Lakers! :hula:

What you novices don't understand is that the teams in the west play NO DEFENSE. It is silly watching a shootaround.

Paging Anthony Mason and Alonzo Mourning. Come in!!!

Matsui, who'd care for playing defence, when teammates are busy fighting about who gets to hog the ball.
