Allen Iverson led the 76ERS in scoring.

Allen Iverson poured in 31 points for Philadelphia. A.I missed two FTs and game just went against the 76ERS. Tough luck!

Nick Van Exel struts after making a 3-point shot against the KINGS.

MAVERICKS outplayed KINGS offensively, defensively with good ball moment as Nick Van Exel scored 36, Steve Nash 19, Michael Finley and Dirk Nowitzki added 24 pts each as the MAVERICKS exploded for a 132-110 drubbing of the KINGS on Thursday to tie their Western Conference Semifinals series at 1-1.

Looks like difficult time ahead for KINGS as Chris Webber(ankle) and Bobby Jackson (Jaws and eyes) suffered injuries. The series shifts to Sacramento for Game 3 & 4.

What a game last night between Dallas and Sacremento, 2 of my favorite teams in the NBA.
It was a nightmare for the Kingz to see Dallas scored 81 pts in the first half alone. :eek: :eek:

It was amazing stuff from Nick Van Exyle and Steve Nash.

"Dallas set an NBA playoff record by scoring 83 points in the first half en route to victory. "
:eek: damn man. If only Lakers can make a same come back.

good, at least mavs are rollin'.

CELTICS vs NETS

[thumb=B]JKidd_030509.JPG[/thumb]

Jason Kidd led the Nets to a Game 3 win.

The NETS dominated Game 3 on Friday night and defeated the CELTICS 94-76 to take a commanding 3-0 lead in their Eastern Conference Semifinals series. Kenyon Martin scored 25 points for New Jersey. There's no way CELTICS can win a single game unless someone support Paul Pierce, please!

[thumb=B]captnjteam.JPG[/thumb]

Anthony Johnson, far left, and the New Jersey Nets' bench erupt in the fourth quarter against the Boston Celtics in Game 3.

CELTICS got 23 points from Paul Pierce but suffered defeat 'cause rest of the players didn't step up.

Boston CELTICS' Paul Pierce (34) shows his frustration towards the referee as Antoine Walker looks on.

LAKERS vs SPURS

[thumb=B]captkb1.JPG[/thumb]

Los Angeles LAKERS' Kobe Bryant reacts to a shot.

WOW! What a game tonight we had! Devean George made everyone surprised as he came back, led a hot start and Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal fueled a dominant finished.

[thumb=B]captkb2.JPG[/thumb]

Slam Dunk Kobe Bryant.

Kobe Bryant poured in 39 points, leading the LAKERS to a 110-95 win over the SPURS on Friday and pulling L.A. closer in their Western Conference Semifinal series. Layups are now starting to work for Kobe as he's getting more and more baskets from jump shots. Cool. Defensive play by Madsen aka Mad Dog, Pargo, Horry and Fisher kept LAKERS on roll.

[thumb=B]captkbmm.JPG[/thumb]

Los Angeles LAKERS' Kobe Bryant, right, pats teammate Mark Madsen.

Shaquille O'Neal fell just shy of a triple-double with 21 points, 16 rebounds with eight assists. Man, what a run Shaq had for his slam dunk. Ho ho ho.... That was Fantastic! Even Jackson stood up for that slam dunk by O'Neal. Man O Man. Whole STAPLES Center went wild as Jack Nicolson got involved in a heated debate with a ref. GRIN GRIN There were some errors done by the refs against LAKERS and it made me sick when refs took away 2-Pt basket of Kobe. GRUMPY Anyway, it was a good and must win for LAKERS as they have finally broke the 6 Games win of SPURS victory over LAKERS. SMILE

San Antonio SPURS' Tim Duncan scratches his head as a referee calls a foul on him.

The LAKERS will try to tie the series at 2-2 in Game 4 on Sunday @ STAPLES Center.

Good to see the Lakers win but I still want the Spurs to win but not till Game 7.

yeah baby, finally some peace of mind.

All 5 Lakers starters in double figures, Tony Parker-Manu Ginobili held to 10 points only, Bruce Bowen who scored 27 pts previous game (7 three pointers) held to 3 points -- was basically the key to the game.

[thumb=B]jack1.JPG[/thumb]
*Jack Nicholson reminding the referee that "He cant handle the truth". *
Kobe said watching Jack argue with referee on 2 missed calls was like watching "Anger Management" again :D

Philadelphia 76ERS’ guard Allen Iverson drives to the basket past Detroit PISTONS’ guard Chucky Atkins (back).

With the possibility of a 3-0 deficit staring them in face, the SIXERS responded by pounding the Pistons 93-83 in Game 3 of the conference semifinals Saturday. Allen Iverson tallied 25 points, Keith Van Horn added 17 and Kenny Thomas chipped in with 10 points and 14 rebounds. .

KINGS vs MARVERICKS

[thumb=B]peja_030510.JPG[/thumb]

Peja Stojakovic shots a 3-Pt.

WOW! What a game it was! Off the hook, I must say. KINGS really felt absence of Chris Webber in the court. Behind a game-high 40 points from Nick Van Exel, Dallas edged the KINGS 141-137 in double overtime to take Game 3 of the conference semifinals Saturday, and now hold a 2-1 series advantage. Steve Nash tallied 31 points and Dirk Nowitzki had 25 points and 20 rebounds.

[thumb=B]captdc.JPG[/thumb]

Sacramento KINGS’ Doug Christie passes the ball over Dallas MAVERICKS’ Dirk Nowitzki, left, and Raja Bell, center.

Both team players were fought head-to-nail to get the ball; and there were some hot words exchange among the KINGS-MAVS players as well. But anyway, it was definitely a great win for MAVS. Tonight’s victory will boost a huge confidence in MAVS.

[thumb=B]captdn2.JPG[/thumb]

Dallas MAVERICKS’ Dirk Nowitzki, left, scrambles for the ball with Sacramento KINGS’ Jim Jackson.

From KINGS, Peja Stojakovic had 39 points, Vlade Divac added 20 and Doug Christie finished with 18. The MAVS will try to stay hot and take a 3-1 lead in Game 4 on Sunday.

last night’s game was so awesome. Double OT but still Mavs prevail. :k:

Come on Mavs, I want to see a Spurs Mavs Conference Final.

So far the dissappoint of the playoffs has been Boston Celtics, I really thought they whey would have made it to the finals.

:konfused:

stick to rugby. :nahnah:

LAKERS vs SPURS

[thumb=B]captkb3.JPG[/thumb]

Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant reacts as Shaquille O'Neal looks on.

LAKERS on roll. Shaquille O'Neal's free throws tied the score with 1:17 to go, and Kobe Bryant sank 4-of-6 shots from the charity stripe in the closing moments to boost Los Angeles to a 99-95 victory over the SPURS in Game 4 Sunday, knotting the conference semifinal series at two games apiece.

[thumb=B]captshaq.JPG[/thumb]

Los Angeles Lakers' Shaquille O'Neal (34) gestures as teammate Derek Fisher, left, and San Antonio Spurs' Malik Rose look on.

Bryant had 35 points and O'Neal finished with 29 points and 17 boards.

[thumb=B]captjc.JPG[/thumb]

Los Angeles Lakers assistant coaches Jim Cleamons, center, and Frank Hamblen, right, look on.

In today's game, LAKERS felt the absence of their coach Phill Jackson. Assistant coache Jim Cleamons head the LAKERS as Phil Jackson recovered from an angioplasty performed. The big Man Jackson called to the LAKERS in the half time, told players "You aren't playing offensively", as NBA news coverage concluded. Those were words of Phill Jackson and LAKERS fired up in the second half.

[thumb=B]captkobe.JPG[/thumb]

Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant, left, goes up for a shot as San Antonio Spurs' David Robinson guards.

LAKAERS couldn't get a single basket from the starters, not even from the bench with the exception of Shaquille and Kobe. But in the second half, most of the game was in favor of the LAKERS as Fisher, Devean participated.

Lots of Hollywood Star showed up today including J.Lo and Ben Afleck for the first time. WINK Mah man, Jack Nicholson was there as usual to support the LAKERS. NBA Hall of Famers Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Bill Russell were introduced to the crowd.

[thumb=B]captbenjlo.JPG[/thumb]

Actors Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez walk to their seats @ STAPLES Center.

And who could forget the 3-Pt basket by Brain Shaw at the end of third qtr. It was unbelieveable! Shaw has rescued LAKERS countless times. That 3-Pt shot reminded me how he helped LAKERS in the Finals of the Western Conference in 2000 against Portland TRAILBLAZERS in the final moments of Game 7.

[thumb=B]captteam.JPG[/thumb]

Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant, left, puts his arm around teammate Derek Fisher as Shaquille O'Neal, rear, looks on in the closing seconds of the fourth quarter.

[thumb=B]captc.JPG[/thumb]

San Antonio Spurs coach Greg Popovich hangs his head in the closing seconds of the Game.

SPURS actually led by as many as 16 points but they faltered in the final moments. The game was tied on 95 as SPURS turned the ball twice within 3 minutes. Tim Duncan poured in a game-high 36 points and Stephen Jackson added 15 points and 10 rebounds. Shaquille fouled out Robinson without letting him score. HEHEHEHE

The LAKERS will now travel to San Antonio for Game 5, which will be on Tuesday. It hasn't been confirmed whether Phill Jackson will be traveling to San Antonio, though, Doctors have cleared him to attend the match practicing tomorrow. SMILE

76ERS vs PISTONS

[thumb=B]captiverson.JPG[/thumb]

Philadelphia 76ers' Allen Iverson celebrates.

My oh my... To early to draw conclusions but I must say PISTONS defence has been pushed over to the edge. Allen Iverson led a balanced attack with 36 points and 11 dimes on Sunday as the SIXERS topped Detroit 95-82 to even up their conference semifinals series at two wins apiece. Derrick Coleman added 14 points and 15 rebounds, Kenny Thomas tallied 14 points and Aaron McKie chipped in with 12.

[thumb=B]captrc1.JPG[/thumb]

Detroit Pistons head coach Rick Carlisle watches his team lose against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Despite the return of Chauncey Billups, the PISTONS couldn't stop the SIXERS. He scored only 3-Pt. Richard Hamilton had a team-high 30 points and Chucky Atkins chipped in with 11.

[thumb=B]captvh.JPG[/thumb]

Philadelphia 76ers' Keith Van Horn, right, reaches in for the ball against Detroit Pistons' Richard Hamilton.

Philadelphia will try to take a 3-2 series advantage in Game 5 on Wednesday as the series heads back to Detriot.

MAVERICKS vs KINGS

[thumb=B]captweb.JPG[/thumb]
Injured Sacramento Kings' Chris Webber watches his team play.

After suffering a disappointing double-overtime loss Saturday, the KINGS rebounded and routed the MAVS 99-83 in Game 4 of the conference semifinals Sunday at ARCO Arena. Hedo Turkoglu led six Kings in double figures with 17 points and Peja Stojakovic added 15 points and 12 boards. Doug Christie played good.

[thumb=B]captdc1.JPG[/thumb]

Sacramento Kings' Doug Christie reacts.

[thumb=B]captteah.JPG[/thumb]

Sacramento Kings' Doug Christie, center, gets a hug from teammates Peja Stojakovic, right, of the former Yugoslavia, and Mike Bibby after Christie was fouled.

Dallas starters were horrible. Nick Van Exel, who led MAVERICS in the previous two games, couldn't get his figure to doubles. Also, Nash and Dirk couldn't get their account open in the 1st half. Michael Finley and Raja Bell finished with 16 points each. Dallas weren't offensive in tonight's game as they were in Game 2 & 3. That's understandable 'cause to win on a back-to-back road game, is a difficult task.

[thumb=B]captbj.JPG[/thumb]

Sacramento Kings' Bobby Jackson tries keeping his dribble as Kings coach Rick Adelman, rear, looks on.

With the series tied at two games a piece, Sacramento travels to Dallas for Game 5.

Playoffs baskeball is different than the regular season. You can't make conclusion, can't predict how it is gonna be end by just looking at one, two Games. Each game is important and have a huge impact on the game followed by..........This is where teams make history. This is where stars emerged. And that's how the ball bounces.

Some amazing games this weekend. First the 83 point (NBA record)shootout by Dallas in the first half of the double-overtime game. That was one of the most exciting game Ive seen. Next game, Dallas held to a total of 83 points in a losing effort.
Then, amazing play by the champion Lakers in the 2 games at Staples. Duncan may be the MVP, but Lakers have their own stars, and Jack Nicolson is one of them.
Said Kobe "That's the heart of a champion. We don't budge, we know that. You knock us down, we get back up. We find a way to win.''

In the East, Nets should finish off Celtics and Sixers should take care of business with Detroit.

Lakers vs Spurs, Game 5 on Tuesday. One interesting stat, I want you to look for is the number of free throws by each side. We shall discuss that later after the game :D

Outside of LA, no one plays defense in the west. It is really boring and makes me yearn for the days for Bad Boys in Detroit or the Knicks/bulls...Knicks/Heat series. Boring basketball at best in the west right now.

Matty Bhai - Wait till the Conference Finals are over, West boys will give you a Crash Course in Defence and Offense both. :hehe::hehe:

Lets not forget Tim Duncan as probably the best offense/defensive player in NBA.
