The NBA title comes back to where it belongs. The Western Conference :p
They said its the first time in 11 years we had a game seven in the Finals. Spurs put on some spectacular defence and Duncan woke up in the 3rd quarter and basically took over the game from their on, ultimately winning the MVP and the championship. I expected it, to be honest.
With Larry Brown specualted to takeover the President's job at Cleveland, I predict a demise of the Pistons. Dont think they will make it this far in the playoffs again next year. Larry Brown going over to Cleveland is gonna be a good thing for Lebron James, who will have a shot at the title soon.
But who cares..
Im excited bout the next Lakers season with Phil Jackson back.
He took it up a notch when it mattered. Like Ben Wallace said after the game, that's what great players do.
3-PT Shooting: Spurs 7-11, Pistons 2-14
That right there is the difference in the game, easily. And you can attribute that to Duncan creating open shots for his teammates over and over and over again. I'm very eager to see how Tim looks next year. I don't know how much his ankles were bothering him, but it definitely looked like it effected his explosiveness and his athleticism. All I got to say is if he gains back even a little bit in both of those departments next year, you better get out of his way.
p.s. In true words of Rasheed Wallace: "Both teams played hard."
