The Bulls sure do get a lot of birthday presents from the Wizards. I wonder when they will get around to giving Ben Gordon a birthday present. I bet he feels left out right now.
The Spurs have a little luck on their side with the schedule, as they had two days rest for Game 2 and will have another two for Game 3. If Manu and Duncan can heal up and recondition themselves successfully the Spurs will take this easily in 5.
By the way, this is the best Spurs team I've seen since 99 when the Admiral was a healthy defensive monster and still potent offensive threat. Rasho will still need to get healthy and play good minutes defensively at the 5 if the Spurs hope to rely on their defense to win games.
Memphis clamped down the perimeter and did a good job.
Gasol just showed how well he can play, this guy should be more consistent like this and maybe we would be discussing him along the Nowitskis, Duncans, Garnetts, O'Neals etc of the game.
But as also expected, Amare will not be facing a clogged lane so he dominated, he drew fouls and shot 50%. Amare already knows how to be a factor in a physical game... putting himself in the freethrow line. I can only assume he didn't want to foul out and cost Suns the game. Thats why he wasn't very aggressive in the 2nd half of the game in terms of defense. He had 3 early in the third I think.
Grizzlies played a really good game, but Suns pull through.
