Nazr-e-Bad

It’s a fact in Islam and happens very often.

What I find odd is the mirch jalana and stuff, what’s the proper way of taking nazr off you or someone else?

Re: Bad Nazr

You read Surah Naas and Falaq.

That was an excuse Phoo'ar auratain came up with. Every time they jalaa'oed a saalan, they told their hubbies ke main aap kee nazar utaar rahi thee.

Re: Bad Nazr

^^ :omg:

Re: Bad Nazr

:rotfl:

is there any logic to mirch jala na at all? i see almost every woman do it, including my mom. i think she reads 4 quls while she ‘rotates’ the mirchies around us and then there’s something like, if the mirch has any smell, there’s no nazr, but if you have nazr on you, the mirch will be smell-less.

Re: Bad Nazr

^^

Ur mother does the right thing.

Re: Bad Nazr

lol TLK.

There is one duaa e Nazar which my mom reads. I mean there something diff then Surah Falak and Naas which is particualary for nazar utharna. I will try to look for it at home and tell you.

Re: Nazr-e-Bad

my chachi does the same thing with the mirchain.....I find it ritualistic and quite against Islam.
we laugh about it when we visit karachi and stay with her...... we say the cost of groceries will go up cuz chachi will have to buy so many mirchain for us.......

Re: Nazr-e-Bad

so theres no truth to it right?

^ Not for me.

Something like giving a sadka would be more sensible.

Re: Nazr-e-Bad

I need to read those surahs too.

Re: Nazr-e-Bad

seriously ppl??

can we now stop being hindus? I mean come on.

Re: Nazr-e-Bad

^what do you mean? This is proven from ahadith....just read the translation of Surah Falaq.

Re: Nazr-e-Bad

Surah Falaq & Surah Naas
here u go JK

Parents brought toys for a baby and baby now never stoped playing with it. Parents decided how to hide toys from the bay. So one day baby’s mom showing the baby k she had thrown toys outside from window by saying that ke kawwa le giya (actually she was hiding behind her hand). On another day surprisingly the baby was really throwing all the toys out of windw. Parents asked ke Oye yeh kiya kar rahe ho. to baby bola k kawwa le gaiyga is liyeh throwing out  (Just to explain)

The point is that the baby really really knw ke kawwa le giya mean doing mirch jalana and stuff for taking of nazr off etc etc. Since our childhood we c or grand grand grand mother/father aunti etc etc repeatdly doing the same things and its merged in our life and we think its a part in Islam infact its not.

Couldn't agree more ^

Re: Nazr-e-Bad

i haven't seen pareezay around for quite a bit.. i hope all is well with her. anyone know her whereabouts??

Re: Nazr-e-Bad

It actually works...so its practiced.

If the person is affected by evil eye, no matter how many chillies u burn, they dont smell at all.

But there is a procedure to do it.

Re: Nazr-e-Bad

it works out.

Re: Nazr-e-Bad

^^^ Pfft whatever, that sounds like a nasty Hindu custom to me. Is that what the prophet did, or any of his companions? Burning spices in the fire?

In Islam your best bet would be to read the 4 quls, which is what the prophet taught us to do, don't follow these odd subcontinent customs, its just Hindu bs.
