Local body representatives are politicians as well. Or do you mean to say jaddi-pushti politicians who have been sitting on their thrones for decades?
Those funds were used in much better way then those jaddi-pushti politicians would have used.
People will support a good system. It does not matter who brought the system.
It's unfortunate to reject a system simply because it was brought by someone we dislike.
