Nawaz Shariff Interview With Dr. Shahid Masood

Re: Nawaz Shariff Interview With Dr. Shahid Masood

Dr Shahid says his tone was diff because it was the first time with Mian saab.

But many things were amiss given it was the first time.

There was no single mention of the HUGE controversy regarding mian saab's exit from Pakistan, the alleged 'deal' between Pakistan, KSA or as some say Musharraf-KSA, his luxurious vacation in a palace in Jeddah for over 5 years and then his sudden unsolicited escape from those who gave him refuge and asylum, allowed him to setup an industry while in exile and paid him and his family huge monthly stipends, and his escape based on lies regarding his sons health and no return since had angered his Saudi hosts quite a lot.

But mian saab is such an honest man, his integrity can be judged from this statement during the interview;

"...my differences with Musharraf are not personal..."
asked again by Dr Shahid,
"no they are not personal..."

this has to be the best lie and hoax. No one else may be in the anti-Mush game for as personal a reason as mian saab. Heck even Mush didnt take it that personally and pardoned him off to KSA, or else he could have used a lot of his SSG experiences on someone he held a personal grudge against like a true dictator, which he is so often labeled as inspite of being the only dictator in history to have great dictatorial powers, not use them and still be labeled as one while facing massive personal and political insults from all quarters at all times for everything from dengue to chief justice and madressah hafsa to an unclean public toilet in Khanewal.

Re: Nawaz Shariff Interview With Dr. Shahid Masood

^That was in my mind too. Why he did not pree NS on making a deal with government and live abroad instead of facing the music in Pakistani jails.

Re: Nawaz Shariff Interview With Dr. Shahid Masood

^ You have to remember a simple difference between NS and BB. BB was not ousted from power by Musharraf, by comparison to NS.

To be honest to expect NS not to take it personal would be a shock, after all seen his party torn in half, his family members arrested and harrassed and many of his close friends tortured. Regardless of what you think of him ..if the roles were reversed I suspect Musharraf would feel the same.

Re: Nawaz Shariff Interview With Dr. Shahid Masood

^Musharraf would feel the same!

Musharraf kicked him just for sacking mush as army chief and said, "is tarah tu koi chaprasi ko bhi nahiN hatata"

Re: Nawaz Shariff Interview With Dr. Shahid Masood

Tinda sharif is a cloned politician created by the Pak army, he has no political base w/o army support. To his advantage, Pak army still has many fundamentalist minded operatives who detest PPP for their secular politics and wud prefer a brain dead politician. Tinda Sahrif is not coming back to Pakistan in the immediate future, this is all hot air as they wud say in Punjab geedhar bhapkian....and nothing else.

Re: Nawaz Shariff Interview With Dr. Shahid Masood

Nawaz Sharif took swopped a jail cell in Attok fort for a royal palace in Jeddah, and the people of Pakistan are well aware of that, and however much he tries he cannot explain away this act of pure cowardice, treachery and selfishness.

Re: Nawaz Shariff Interview With Dr. Shahid Masood

I dont like NS and I am not defending him, but what options did he have, Silly?

Re: Nawaz Shariff Interview With Dr. Shahid Masood

A prison cell in Pakistan or a Royal palace in Saudi Arabia.
Bravery or cowardice.
Oh, the options...

Re: Nawaz Shariff Interview With Dr. Shahid Masood

Thin line between bravery and stupidity. Was ZAB brave or stupid?

Re: Nawaz Shariff Interview With Dr. Shahid Masood

yeah, and yet he claims to be a great leader of his miserable people and feels great pain for them. And acts as if the choice he had was very tough and he was forced to chose the palace. And yet, he runs miles away from any discussion on what the heck the deal actually was, who was involved and why he made the choice, and why he wails now even though he got what he desperately needed.
Duplicity, deception and fooling the public at its best.

Re: Nawaz Shariff Interview With Dr. Shahid Masood

There are a lot of things I did not like that ZAB did, but he wen to his death a brave man. Nawaz Sharif is the stupid one.

Re: Nawaz Shariff Interview With Dr. Shahid Masood

yeah I agree his analysis on tv is towards the conservative side and not the the "liberal view" of PPP thats why i was saying that he was with the PPP some time back i am not so sure about the present.Anyone who worked at jinnah hospital or studied at SMC can verify Dr saab's affliliation.

Anyway i have great admiration for his journalistic abilities.

Re: Nawaz Shariff Interview With Dr. Shahid Masood

Hmmm! Don't you think bravery and stupidity would be relative things. For instance, going to your death to support and bolster a cause may be regarding bravery but if your cause dies with you then it would be stupidity.

Re: Nawaz Shariff Interview With Dr. Shahid Masood

But the point is ZAB's "cause" not die with him. Whether one likes it or not the PPP remains party with largest single vote bank in the country, and that has a lot to do with ZAB's execution which turned him into a martyr. Nawaz's cowardly retreat to Royal exile saw his party abandon him, and his "cause" discredited.

Re: Nawaz Shariff Interview With Dr. Shahid Masood

His party deserted NS long b4 he boarded the plane.

Re: Nawaz Shariff Interview With Dr. Shahid Masood

Syed you mentioned Dr Shahid's role with KWSB. Any idea what post he had there? You said he looked after KWSB, so was he a Director level official? If yes, it'd reflect him being a very serious pipliya, because KWSB postings and affairs are no small deal.

Re: Nawaz Shariff Interview With Dr. Shahid Masood

I think ZAB was stupidly-brave or bravely-stupid. He was stupid because he thought nothing would happen to him and something or someone would eventually rescue him and he'd become a greater leader. He was brave because he took this chance.

But if you talk about how he actually went to the gallows, I don't think he was brave that moment. The bravery of having taken the chance had evaporated by then and if we measure bravery at the gallows with Saddam, from what versions we've read and heard, he wasn't brave that morning.

Re: Nawaz Shariff Interview With Dr. Shahid Masood

Hmmm! Point taken however was his cause to propel PPP into political dominance?

What propelled MMA in NWFP with such a great vote bank, I can hardly remember any sacrifices by them. They just beat the drum and NWFP people danced to the beat.

Re: Nawaz Shariff Interview With Dr. Shahid Masood

I think the act of taking a chance is where bravery is regarded, ofcourse most people would be mentally numb once they hit the gallows.

Re: Nawaz Shariff Interview With Dr. Shahid Masood

I am not certain that he was a director but definitely a big post there and as i mentioned in my earlier posts an ordinary RMO cant have this post without having any powerful links. He was in PSF that is for sure.Dr saab nay shayad "apna dosto ristaydaro gird nawah kay logo ka khayal na rakho " so that might be be one of the reasons for his outser from the party only if that has happened

Lets wait for dr saab's next move if ppp comes back to power.
