I doubt the breakdown is bcoz of 3rd term of PM. Nawaz has little to gain at present on this issue, as he cannot become PM of this assembly. Secondly, ML-N wanted the restoration of judges by resolution and not by constitutional amendment.
it was a drama thats all.
ns has alot to gain right now, cos its only now that this law can be broken. f ns wins nxt election i highly doubt anyone will support him to get rid of the law, so he will be grounded and its only now he can get rid of it.

Nawaz's hopes rest on the restored ex-CJ whom he believes will disqualify Musharraf, and revoke the NRO, thereby finishing off Zardari. From there we have new elections. That's why he has really spent the last months from Murree to London via Dubai trying to get the PPP's agreement to lift the 3rd time bar on a PM, as well judges restoration. Zardari is a lot more cunning than Nawaz Sharif, who is just plain stupid and simple, if not downright naive if he thinks that his opponents are not wise to his games.
