  • England Squad: Michael Vaughan(Capt), Kabir Ali, James Anderson, Rikki Clarke, Andrew Flintoff, Ashley Giles, Darren Gough, Steve Harmison, Richard Johnson, Robert Key, Anthony McGrath, Chris Read(WK), Vikram Solanki, Marcus Trescothick and James Troughton

  • Zimbabwe Squad: Heath Streak(Capt), Tatenda Taibu(Wicket-keeper), Andy Blignaut, Gary Brent, Stuart Carlisle, Charles Coventry, Dion Ebrahim, Sean Ervine, Grant Flower, Travis Friend, Douglas Hondo, Douglas Marillier, Stuart Matsikenyere, Waddington Mwayenga, Raymond Price, and Richard Sims

  • South Africa: Graeme Smith(Capt), Mark Boucher(Wicket-keeper), Paul Adams, Nicky Boje, Alan Dawson, Boeta Dippenaar, Herschelle Gibbs, Andrew Hall, Jacques Kallis, Charl Langeveldt, Andre Nel, Makhaya Ntini, Shaun Pollock, Dewald Pretorius, Jacques Rudolph, Martin van Jaarsveld and Morne van Wyk.

Must be a good series to watch! South Africa looks a different team with some new faces. No Zulu…No fireworks. :frowning: Zimbabwe will be underdogs whereas with the return of Richard Johonson, England are favs and they might clinched the series. But don’t count out Saffies!

South Africa will stroll through this series, they might have new faces but they still have Pollock, Kallis, Gibbs, Boucher, Ntini, they will easily go on to win.
England barely defeated a weak Pakistani team, their chances against South Africa are very slim.

Anways, here everybody can register for the fantsasy competition of Natwest Series.

Zimbabwe Pull Off a Thriller

Boy oh boy almost everyone talked ZIM down and that they should be in a lower class/league together with BD but today they showed that they can Beat socalled better teams ..... even though the total wasn't that high but one must give credit for good bowling and fielding that manage that .....

Well once again Flower-Power (this time Grant) helped ZIM through .... i hope they'll play SA in the Final at Lords ....

Damn, Zimbabwe beat England…Wonderful performance by Grant Flower, who stood outthere, never hesitated. Not a good performance by England at all. Zimbabwe were 15/4 and pulled the match off! Richard Johnson made his debut with 3 wkts.

England has got to prepare even better against South Africa.

I would never write off Zim under english playing conditions, their record is better than most countries in last few years in england. 1999 WC they made it to the supper six stag, 2000 they Beat WI in a thriller to make it to the final against England.
Zim's medium fast allrounders and their batsmen's ability to score 20's 30's are quite good enough in engliash conditions.

Does anybody Remeber that zim Vs WI game 3 Years back when Zim made that great chace.?? to me one of the best games of cricket ever.

Double century: Man of the Match Vikram Solanki and Marcus Trescothick celebrate England's six-wicket win over South Africa at The Oval.

South African bowlers got thrashed of their lives except of Shaun Polluck. I have no faith in Smith's Captaincy unless he changes the way he set-up the field. Kallis seems to be back in form from his WC nightmare! So did Mark Boucher. Good on them!

Jimmy Anderson nay duba baja diya Gibbs and Smith ka! WHOOPS

Marcus and Vikram performed overwhemingly better than what they did day before yesterday against Zimbabwe. First wicket partnership of 200 runs, damn! This English team is learning quickly on home-ground. Good for them!

:hehe: a win by 6 wickets and almost 6 overs remaining. Hey I didn’t have to cut and paste your post (like you did with my post on the NBA thread)

yaar Asif_k Kewn Panga lay rahay ho Umair316 se??? iss thread ka bhee Jinaza nikal jia ga…tum logon ka koi haal nahee hai!

Koi baat nahi, good teams have bad days, afterall India did lost to Kenya twice, so why can’t South Africa lose.

Asif is just lonely ;)

great innings by Vikram Solanki and captain Marcus Trescothick to put England on a victory spot:k: Both centuries were treat to watch:k:

Another master 100 by Kallis against Zimbabwe today:k:

Jack Kallis played very well for his second consecutive hundred:k:

and also Marcus Trescothick and Vikram Solanki played :k: for their centuries:k:

Well Well Well…Kallis is back in the Town! Two Centuries in consecutive matches. Good for him. Gibbs and Smith still found themselves in trouble from the start. Zimbabwe had restricted them in the first 15 overs. Actually, they did restricted them to 3 runs per over at the end of 30 overs. But then, Andrew Hall joined the party with Jacques Kallis and Zimbabwe slipped it away.

It’s not that Zimbabwe won’t learn from this loss. Travis is back in form. They were able to grab bonus pt and it’s a shame South Africa couldn’t be able to bowled them out! If I had to chose MoM, Andrew Hall would be selection 'cause not only he made 56 runs but also picked up 3 wkts and a run-out. But, anyway, it was Kallis who contributed most of the part.

Seems like South Africia’s Middle Order have come to alive but their bowling department is not that great as it was used to be.
