Natural birth control

So or some people who totally don’t believe in the usual precriptions/condoms due to religious reasons, etc., what would be some natural birth control methods?

Please avoid getting ummmm, out of line, please.

Re: Natural birth control

only abstinence is 100% effective, the withdrawal method doesnt work for everyone and I heard mushrooms are supposed to be a natural remedy for birth control but not sure...

What is Rhythm method? (in simple words plz)

Re: Natural birth control

^Being aware of the "rhythm" of your cycle and avoiding intercourse near ovulation. This method can be problematic because cycles/ovulation can surprise you sometimes.

i dont konw myself. just heard fo it

Re: Natural birth control

mushrooom and peas ???????????? plz clarify coz im having a laughter fit here ..........

Re: Natural birth control

OK first of all, I thought the rhythm method had something to do with rhythms of movement during the act :embarassed:

Secondly, please elaborate on this mushrooms and peas theory because that would be indeed a delicious way to deal with population back home.

Re: Natural birth control

The rhythm method is avoiding sex at the time of ovulation. Before over the counter ovulation kits became available, the general rule was to avoid sex around days 11 to 15 of your cycle because this is typically the fertile time (day 1 being the first day of menses). Not a very exact method since cycles can vary greatly. But if you use an ovulation predictor kit its much more reliable and intercourse can be avoided during those days that you are fertile.

There is another type of ovulation predictor that tests saliva for onset of ovulation, heres a link

Peas, mushrooms and any other type of food will not prevent pregnancy. Neither would a barrier like cotton unless its soaked in some sort of spermicide. I’d not recommend that method though since you wouldnt want leftover fibers sitting in there.

My fertility specialist always asks his new patients whether they are taking or have taken St John’s Wort, an herbal medicine used to treat depression. Apparently, it CAN have a negative effect on eggs, makes the outer “shell” hardened so sperms have trouble getting in to fertilize. I wouldnt use this as a method of birth control though.

Constant nagging is a good BC method too. It will give him headache and he will not be in the mood.

Pregnancy, i guess, i mean once one conceives, she can't get pregant again atleast for 9 months.
