recently some anti Pakistan entity listed a video to “shame” Pakistan without looking to the facts and taking this henios crime and blowing out of propotion.
here are some facts, who is at the top.
All this shows is that First world countries, women are free to go to the police and press rape charges.
Most women in 3rd world countries and especially muslim countries and even in India, will never ever go to the police to report rape charges.
Most of the time, the crime is never reported or is hushed up by the family.
Violence against women should be condemned and severely punished.But can somebody see any muslim country in this?It's not because women are protected there but because of the strange laws.In many muslim countries,even in pakistan,a woman raped can not go to justice that freely because she has to produce witness for it.Otherwise it would be termed as an immoral act with the consent of the woman.So most of the women will not dare to seek justice.That's why countries like Pakistan is absent from this list or lying in the bottom.
Most rape cases in the west are reported on the weekends when those pub-goer ladies drink heavily and then spend some night with some one and in the morning they report it to police as a rape case.

No its wrong. Rape is not rampant in this counrty or it is lied in the bottom. Its quite rare here due to ban on wines which is the main cause of rape.

thats also true, Pakistan and other conservative societies not many will report the rape, but it is also true the Pakistan like countries has very lower rape overall because of women less exposure to single and independant lives that we have in the west and modern societies where reporting a rape is almost date rape cases over the weekend etc.
when a remote villages where many people are oppressed, more oftenly dominated by the powerfull clan in the area and rest are treated as animals.
now here rape is reported as Pakistan is the only country that has rape victims and crime. if its compared even all the un reported cases will still be very low compared to other socities. NGO and other people blow it out of propotions as promoting Pakistan nation or rapists. which is far from reality.

I agree with you, with people strongly coupled in family system and protection and no alcohal and bars, it is not rampant at all.

It is horrible to see how many thousands of rapes occur around the world! I somehow do not believe the numbers posted here - I think USA cannot be anywhere as bad as this list makes it out to be. There has to be a difference in how the numbers were arrived at. May be in the US a much higher percentage is reported whereas in other countries it may not be the case. However, teenage dating and date rapes are a bit more in the USA than countries where dating is not the norm
I also remember the president of Pakistan saying in press that many Pakistan women report they were raped to get a immigrant visa while at the same time papers were reporting that Pakistani women do not report when raped because the law is on the criminal's side and against the woman
