Assalamu Alaykum.

This is called a bid'ah, which means adding things in our religion by humans for thier conveniences, Our prophet strictly prohibited that. For those peole who told you this, ask them for the proof. They will not be able to find in the Quran or the hadiths whch will come to show that it was purely fabricated by another human.

Nath in some language can mean Virginity, and they may be refering to that, that is my guess.
