it's not a sect.....it's a tariqa in Sufi brotherhood....

qalbi ankh means the eye of heart.

I say this because pretty most everyone here has either no or very little except a few .. knowledge of islam .. and then ppl open threads relating to islam …

and so when theyget a ‘real’ answer from someone who has knowledge ..ie. someone i personally agree usually with psyh .. the ppl who open the thread think this ain islam ..this is extreme.. this is too much sufi ism.. this is causing fractions blah blah blah .. yet in reality .. the problem is lack of knowledge ..and end of the day it turns out to be a wahabbi/deobandi/sunni/shia/ahmadi bashing threadd ..

and in terms of life 1 section ..same again .. ppl who have no or little life in the real world .. and rarely experience life .. they rather than getting out … living the ‘moments’ .. they open a tread seeking advice from those who may be ..in the same sittuation i.e. no experiene of life in the real world ..andddddd sooo .. life one section also become ‘‘jerry springer’’ show ..:smack:

I agree but this also shows who’s out there in real life too. After all these are the same people offline… And there is chance of giving dawah or in some cases around here to call out the fitna. :wink:

It's one of the main Sufi Tariqa's in Islam.

I have a few genuine questions so I just thought I'd post it here (please don't shoot me, I'm simply curious):

Why is Sheikh Hisham heavily involved in politics? I mean, doesn't that go against the fundamental principle of Sufism? He's had regular 'meetings' with Prince Charles, Bush...isn't that just a bit weird?

And how about Mureed's not being able to question what their Murshid/Pir does or says?

I've read the Naqshbandi Sufi Way and I have to say there was alot of stuff that simply didn't sit well with me. In particular the reference that people in this generation can achieve an exalted rank even beyond that of the Prophets, Companions and Saints.

I am by no means being disrespectful so don't claim I'm bashing Sufi teachings or anything. Like I said before I'm just curious. :)

I don't think why is it weird for Shaykh Kabbani to meet with Charles and Bush etc. But why are we discussing people?

Shaykh Kabbani is not perfect human being an he might have said something wrong or may be people misunderstood him.

I don't know much about Hisham Kabbani and Nizam Haqqani but it seems they have a different tariqa called Naqshbandi-Haqqani.

Right, so if Sheikh Hisham isn't a perfect human being and he can make human errors then does that give him the right to be a murshid who has hundreds if not thousands of followers who aren't allowed to question what he says or does? What if he makes a fundamental error when it comes to islamic teachings?

Yes, they do have a different tariqa and they trace their lineage along the Haqqani Golden Chain.

I too have questions for Shaykh Kabbani, I am wondering why did he go meet Hamid Karzai when he was in good relations with the Taliban (some of Taliban are naqshbandi in tariqa).. Not questioning his wisdom, just curious.

Best way to get your answers would be to send your questions to Shaykh Kabbani's Khalifa or a mureed from the tariqa.

No that just proves that he's a human and not a prophet or more than the prophets, I have no knowledge if his mureeds are allowed to question him (I don't think any mureed in any tariqa is allowed to question his murshid, out of respect) but they are allowed to leave his tariqa if they find any error in him.

Also, what he said about wahabis being in control of most mosques wasn't entirely wrong either.

We don't know his intentions and unless we hear something solid with a proof from other scholars aagainst Shaykh Kabbani we shouldn't be talking about this, so no more posts from me on Shaykh Hisham's actions.

Please I would like to set one thing straight and that is

Fbi786, cricketplaya, USResident, ravage, Ibn Siddique, AllahKaBanda and others are all my masters in knowledge and any tareef in my direction is only them seeing their own goodness in a sinner like me.

The Qalbi Ankh means the inner sight ... which is an illumination of the heart. It refers to a person being guided with spiritual power.
