Day 1
From Islamabad to Chillas.
stop over for tea, Maangal, Abbottabad

Day 2
Trucks and other vehicles queued up, because of a land slide.
during this tour we faced land slides at 4 differnet places in Karakoram range.
Turning at Raikot Bridge. This is where we leave KKH and start jeep ride, which is actually a Roller Coaster in Karakoram.
Looking outside from Jeep, River Indus is visible.
Our jeep got overheated, refused to move fwd and started to slide back on some curves. waiting for it to cool a bit down. Here we are almost 2000m above sea.
land slide again, because of this we had to start walking almost 10-15 km before Jail/ Taato. we had no porters available here, so had to pick up all the load.

from Taato to Fairy Meadows, we hired porters but the walk (read climbing) was so tiring that nobody dared to take out their cameras. though we had breath taking views all the way.

Day 3
The Killer Mountain (Nangaparbat) and few neighbours arround our camping sight (3300m) at 5am in the morning, weather was not very clear.

Day 4
From Biyal Camp (3500m) to Base Camp (3970m) and back
Unfortunately I could not find pictures of Day 4, it was in another camera and in another folder.
This was the toughest day of the tour, as we had 2 sessions of around 4 hours trek each. from biyal to base camp and back. We enjoyed very amazing and close views of the mountains, crossed a couple of small streams, jumped over many boulders, crossed a glacier, and reached the base camp. stayed there for around 40 minutes and headed back.

Day 5
from Fairy Meadows and free day at Raikot Sarae
we explored the surroundings and and the village of Fantori. Weather got clearer and we were able to take some very clear pictures.

we went there in 2004. from fairy meadows we started early in the morning n reached bayal camp till 8 then stayed there for 40 min then shot for base camp . we reached there till 12 stayed there for one hr. then returned back to fairy meadows.
I think we shud have stayed at base camp for one night then we may have reached upto camp-1 of nanga perbat.
Excellent scenes in the way. there is that graeyard at the base camp.

Cool pictures. I went to Swat and Karakoram ranges back in 1993. I want to go again.
Is there a package available with some comfortable vehicle/driver?

Packages are available but It is not taht difficult. one can arrange things on the way. there maybe some diffuclites but these are the part of advanture

i really regret the decision of not going to the base camp of nanga parbat ........u can only visit a place like this once n i missed the chance

waleed: did you go upto base camp? i regret not having a good cam, battery was discharged and could not take a single snap of base camp. there were a couple of them in mobile camera, but cannot find them now...

lol i dont think so i can go there again because as there are lots of other places to visit too
