Can someone please tell me the proper way to pray both namaz hajat and tahajad? and what are the best times to pray these namazein?

** Tahajud **time is after Esha Namaz till Fajar..

minimum Raqats 2 hain aur maximum ki koi limit nahi :)..bas Tahajud ki Niyat karni perti hai jitni bhi raqats apko perhni ho..baki Namaz same hai :)..

Hajat Namaz ke liye niyat karni perti hai 4 raqat Hajat Namaz ki aur Namaz ke bad Dua-e-Hajat pehrni hoti hai uske bad app dua mangni hoti hai jis cheez ki hajat ho..

agar kisi aur ko bhi ziyada pata ho to plzz share karen :)

isn't it neccesary to sleep before you can pray tahajad? i think this is a debatable question, as i have heard a lot of controversy over it. i'm still not sure what the proper format is. also, could you please tell me the niyat for tahajad?

adding to that ..

Thajjud, you do it in installments of 2 and 2 .. not 4 rakaats together, even if you are doing 4 rakats tahajjud. And the best time is the last 3rd part of the night, the one closer to the Fajr

its not necessary to sleep, but because the best time is the last part of the night, so it is assumed that you will wake up for that, hence the myth that you have to sleep and then wake up for Tahajjud.

thanks a lot for the dua. would you happen to have the dua in english? it's been a while since i've read the quran (except at quran khaanis, as terrible as that is) so i feel my arabic reading skills have become a little shakey. and to avoid misreading something, i think it'd be best if i read it in english

oh i meant the arabic words but written in english. will it mean the same if i read it in english instead of arabic?

^ I think so. Its the intention in essence, not exact words, which matters.

Tahajjud namaz should be read daily right? I heard that doing it once in a while is not a good thing...Like just doing it on weekends and not on every day of the week.

is that true?

:smack: no its not like that. u can pray everyday if u want but if u cant then its no big deal pray whenver u have time.

oopsie. i though namaz-e-hajat was 2 nafls or can it be? N is it said same way we say other nafls or is there a diff way of saying this particular namaz?

**ALL nawaafil are ALAWAYS 2 rak'at each...i haven't seen anyone doing 4 rak'ats.

people usually pray 8 rak'ats as tahajjud and reciting longer sura's is afzal [better]

Salatul tasbih is nafl and performed as 4 combined rakats
