Its the niyat that is important. I am not sure if you need to recite anything specific.

In addition to TLK's post, you may read two rakat nafl-e-hajat same as ordinary nafl and at the end make dua.

namaz hajat is same as we pray other nafal namaz but there is one specific dua which we recite after namaz-e-hajat.....

Can someone please tell me the proper way to pray both namaz hajat and tahajad? and what are the best times to pray these namazein?

namaz -e- tahajjud and namaz-e- hajat, both are nafal namaz.

you can read nafal of hajat after any fard namz, while tahajuud can only be read during isha and before fajar. I usually read it before fajar. You only need to make intention of your salah and when you are done. you can read duroo and your duwa/hajat/wahtever the problem and then again drood.

thanks everyone i do know about the dua but i was reading diff websites online telling diff surahs to be read during the nafls so i got confused.

When I was in KSA (performing Umra) I want to kiss (Bossa) Hijra-e-Aswad so I prayed two rakat Nafl-e-Hajat and asked Allah SWT. Than without any difficulty I kissed (taken Bossa) of Hijra-e-Aswad.

Conclusion is that as TLK Bhai said 'intention' (niyyat) is important.

ofcourse neeyat is most important but if a method is prescribed to say the particular prayer then we should follow it otherwise we can just go ahead and say some surahs and namaz wl be done but we do follow the complete pattern of how the namaz is said to be performed.

As i said above, I just prayed two rakat nafl-e-hajat same as we pray ordinary nafl (as we all muslims offer namaz). There is no special pattern and as far i know no pattern is even mentioned in hadith. Anyhow I'll check if I can find anything about Namaz-e-Hajat in any hadith.

minimum Raqats 2 hain aur maximum ki koi limit nahi :)..bas Tahajud ki Niyat karni perti hai jitni bhi raqats apko perhni ho..baki Namaz same hai :)..

Hajat Namaz ke liye niyat karni perti hai 4 raqat Hajat Namaz ki aur Namaz ke bad Dua-e-Hajat pehrni hoti hai uske bad app dua mangni hoti hai jis cheez ki hajat ho..

agar kisi aur ko bhi ziyada pata ho to plzz share karen

Thajjud, you do it in installments of 2 and 2 .. not 4 rakaats together, even if you are doing 4 rakats tahajjud. And the best time is the last 3rd part of the night, the one closer to the Fajr

its not necessary to sleep, but because the best time is the last part of the night, so it is assumed that you will wake up for that, hence the myth that you have to sleep and then wake up for Tahajjud.
