Fried bhindiyaaN, aayee ayeeee, my favourite! :-(
I hope my mum doesnt make them in the 3 months to come :-/
Ahmadjee, as long as you drastically cut back on sugar and excersize more often it's fine. U don't have to give up your paratha's as I know I won't be able to resist my mum's fried bhindi either :p
Well, maybe for the benefit for everyone you should subscribe some sort of balance diet for the three meals a day, which does not include sugar or fried food.
I mean, what should we all eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner in a typical week?
And wouldn’t we grow back our pounds if we decide to go back on our sugar cravings after these three months?

Shouldn't you constantly cut down on bad stuff ALL the time? Cut down, not totally take out of your diet.

I agree like totally agree with you Sarah. I think the idea behind these drastic diets is to attain an acceptable weight in a short period of time, say a couple of weeks, and then maintain thru controlled diet.
Shino: I just started something similar, but more of exercising. I want to get rid of my belly. So i came up with the same idea, eating NO fried food or drinking COKE or any other fatty food. I will exercise 2 hours per day before going to school. My goal is to get some abdominal muscles perhaps a 6pak in less than 4 months. So i will post before and after pictures, so look out for em.
Sarah & FG,
Like I said before, it’s an experiment! Ofcourse you should cut down on bad stuff all the time. The thing is that I’ve noticed that I started consuming more and more sweet stuff in the past 6 months and now it’s kinda a habit to have something sweet after dinner. I was thinking maybe like this it would be more of a motivation for me (and the rest) to stick to it. We can keep the rest updated by posting in this thread. I’m hoping this will have a positive effect on our lifestyle.
Maybe for some ppl this is that extra kick they needed
Furqan, that’s great :k: Keep us updated
Mehroo, glad ur with me on this one. I know you have 3 kids and a hubby to take care of. Let me know if the excersize part is do-able for you?! .. I think ropeskipping is perfect as you can also do that at home
CB, no worries, I don’t like halwa much anywayz :-p

gd luck ppl....... and yes salt does make u fat believe it or not. so taking less of it would help........ also try not to eat too late because once u go to sleep u burn less so the excess energy goes to the boody as fat... i am sure u guys have seen briged jones's diary.. well that actress used to eat alot b4 going to sleep to help put on weight.. and make sure if u guys exercise to do it one hour b4 eating or 2 hours after eating.. and drink lots of water. and try to do light weights (no mehnaz 1 kg is too light :p ) the more muscle mass u have the more ur muscles need energy.
as a side point my friend brpoought sohan halwa (they call it habshi halwa here) man its so gd i luv him and hate him for it.. havent had any for 2 years :( .
o and rowing mashine burns way way way more fat than runing on the tredmill (almost double i believe).
