My turn now....

Any updates on the operation? Hope everything went smoothly!

Apologies.......it slipped my mind to update this thread.

Harris had his operation on wednesday and the implant fitted. The operation itself went very well and he is due to go back next week to have further tests to determine how sucessful it was.

Harris came home from hospital on friday and although a little disorientated lately, he seems on the mend. Thank you for caring enough to ask about my little guy. He is one heck of a brave boy.

That’s great news Shahreen!! :flower1:

Inshallah, the tests next week will show he is definitely getting better. Keep us updated.

I am glad he is doing ok. He had a lot of guppy mamos and khalas
to pray for him.:) Hopefully the rest will turn out fine as well.

thats great to hear that the op went well :k: i’ll be praying his tests are positive, Inshallah

lil kids are such a blessing.. and they give us so much strength

its good to hear of his progress, Insahallah he will do even better and will be fine. we are praying for his health.

Salams Shahreen...

You may not know me, but I would like to contribute in this supportive responce towards your son's condition. Children, husband, parents, siblings and so forth no matter how far they may be but whenever in pain shake our entire existence. I can only imagine what you may be going through. Hard times hit us each one way or the other. What is important for us to remember that in the end the life of that very being is still safe and sound in many ways that may we may not realize at the time. Some time back life was still predictable and ppl didn't used to expect that life of little children can be so short and complicated. Today when I look around I see such young children, and so many young ppl suffering from ordeals that its shocking! I don't know what to say exactly to make you feel better Shahreen, but I will tell you where I found my strength in the hardest of times. Just have faith, and rely yourself on your supreme Creator Almighty. I wish you happiness and peace. May Allah subhan give Harris the best of health and prosperiety in every wake of life. Ameen!

shahreen, my prayers are with you :flower1:

Daysee - everything you said is entirely true. Initially I did find the whole situation pretty hard to deal with both emotionally and on a practical level too. Seeing Harris going through his operations, chemotheraphy and then finding out about his hearing was a rollercoaster of emotions. And although all the medical evidence shows he's getting better it's still hard to believe at times.

Dear Shahreen calm your emotions and make your self to come in terms with what the doctors and the reports say. Hard to do so but not entirely impossible. Since there hasn't been an enormous time elapse yet for you since all the medical ordeals took place, therefore it will be hard for you to distance yourself from the sufferings. Insha Allah as its said 'time heals all wounds.' Sometimes to lose some is better than everything lost. For once all is lost, there's nothing more to hold on to. Trust me, masha Allah Harris will get better and will even give you strength to go through this hurdle. I wish you all the best, you and Harris will be in my thoughts.

InshAllaha he will be fine , dont worry .
