Insha Allah, he will get better.

What are these operations going to be for? Are doctors hopeful that they can restore full hearing in the one ear, by these operations or is it just to stop the damage from spreading further?

Oh darling Shahreen, I am so sorry that you had to go through all this, it must have been very very hard for you and all the time you never complained or gave a hint of what you are going through in your life, yesterday I was reading the holy Koran and there is a verse of having 'sabar' and that Allah loves those who pratice patience and dont complain, he awards such people with his blessings.

Dont worry, Harris will be happy and healthy again Insahallah, he needs your strength and your help, you be strong and be allways be there for him, Insahallah he will over come all difficulties and have a very good and proper life. Ameen.

So sorry Shahreen.
I have been so preoccupied that I had no idea what was going on with Harris.

I know that we need to look at others that are not as well off as we are, but I also know that this proves as no consolation when it comes to the pain and suffering of our children. I have only come to know this since Noor has been in my life.

Inshallah Harris will be well and you will look back upon this time as one that was trying but fulfilling and rewarding as well.

May Allah keep you in His care, ameen.

Apologies for the lack of reply........things have been pretty busy of late which I'm sure you guys will understand.

As suspected, it's now been confirmed that Harris has Conductive Hearing Loss in his left ear caused by the constant ear infections he had while he was on chemo. He is due to have a cochlear implant hopefully next week which although it won't restore his hearing completely, should improve it greatly depending on how well the surgery goes.

Thanks to everyone for remembering my little boy in your prayers. Please keep it up as he still has some trying times ahead.
