ermm how can they get DNA results within an hour? I understand they might have robots to read the entire genome for them within a few minutes but what about the required reaction times n all? Serious question, I really would like to know. I'll read up on it this weekend.
Max 6 hours in the lab and we used to be out the door with the DNA results in our hands. But that's because we never sequenced the entire genome, just a few markers such as looking at the XX, XY gene. There were never more than 20 markers that we looked at.
Edit: Yahoo answers says they did a genetic kinship analysis that typically examines only 15 markers. So that makes sense. If they had obtained a full genetic profile, it would've taken ages even with all their high-tech equipment. One would think they'd be a little more thorough when it comes to the DNA of the world's most wanted man. Is it true they obtained the results within 12 hours of his death? If so, how did they transport the sample so fast?
maybe they had his dna sample from when he brushed his teeth and combed his hair the night before, pal. then they take the toothbrush and comb while he isleep, send it by fedex to big lab in VA, their nerds run tests over night, naxt day email to helicotper pilot, who fly sealies into abbottabad.

1. Many newspapers are saying that Bin Laden's 12 year old daughter was there too. Where is she now ,and being a minor who has her custody?
2. Rueters mentioned that two women who worked as domestic helpers at the " Compound" were injured and are being treated in a local hospital. Why are they not being questioned by the media???

The daughter is in ISI's custody. She is a minor, but the complication is because her nationality is unknown, it's not clear who is responsible for her. Osama lost his Saudi citizenship before she was born, and unless she can prove that she was born in Pakistan or born in Afghanistan, she cannot claim citizenship from there either. Basically, she's in custody, with no one to release her to. Pakistan plans on deporting her mother to Yemen, but Yemen is refusing to accept the daughter.
Everyone from the compound is in ISI custody, that's why the media is not speaking to them. Even the people who are in hospital will be in guarded sections to keep the public, including media, outside. ISI is probably questioning everyone, fromt he children to the mother to the maids, to find out more information on what exactly went on in the house.
ok I also have a question, what happened to the other body the seals took with them? Was that body of a lesser muslim whom should not be buried in 24 hours as per the islamic traditions?

oh and if the choopers were there for 40 plus minutes, why no pak military jet came to intercept as it was only 1 KM from a military academy which means that it must be a no fly zone.
In fact I read somewhere that military jets did come but the chopper was able to fly back in time and escaped any attack from Pakistani military. How convenient was that.
Another question was about the failed chopper. How comes no one is talking about that? Its impossible to believe that it was a mechanical failure. The chooper obviously crashed into that wall and I cant believe that no US person got injured.
So here is me adding all pieces of the puzzle.
Pak jets did come, they shot one chopper down, that is when US Navy Seals told them who are they and why they are here. Pak jets left but one seal got killed because of them shooting the chopper down.
Second body that Seals took back with them (that Chipotle is talking about) is of that navy seal.
DNA profiling is only secondary. the biggest proof for the SEALS was osama himself. everyone knows how he looks like, plus they asked him his name and then executed him.
what else do they need.
There are bigger questions that needs to be answered. i personally take oBama's words for it, being the president he cannot make such a huge lie.
My biggest problem is why did they execute him so soon, they could have taken him back ,interrogated him and then execute him. not that a dead osama weighs less in heli than a living one.

We dont know anything about it, so all we can come up with are speculations.
I personally dont believe it was shot down by Pakistan military. If they had done it then the chopper would have been blown out of air, plus they would have attacked other choppers as well which in turn would attract aggressive response from american aircrafts too.
I think it was brought down by small arms fire by oSama's aides. that explains mild damage to the heli and it still managed to crash land without killing any of the SEALS.
BTW No eye witness reported any jets flying around at that time

They went there to kill osama, period. Alive Osama would be a bigger trouble because terroist around the world would have started kidnapping innocent people and threaten to kill them if USA does not let go of Osama.
I agree that DNA profiling is only secondary, in fact who knows if the actually did the DNA at all or just telling the world that they did. They know that they killed Osama, but they cannot say to the world that we know cause one of our guys asked him if he is and he said yes. So they had to bring this DNA facade.
If you want to confirm that the person is Osama, you dont kill him first then do the DNA. You confirm first then kill. They knew whom they are killing, DNA drama is for the world, not for them.
