I know I had so many nice functions for my wedding, and still when I read these forums, I feel like, Oh I wish I could've done this or that. And you sound very unhappy with what it was. Is it from comparing yourself to others, or have you always felt that way?
Others are right that you should be thankful for a good marriage, which is far more important than a good wedding. However, there is nothing wrong with celebrating that wedding once more. Perhaps on your next anniversary you could renew your vows in a large party, getting things done the way you want them with lots of video and photos and decor to your liking... and a new outfit of course!
As for 6 years being too long -- I don't think it is. But if you want, you could wait till the 10th because it feels like another extra special occasion.
