Ami, I just saw your pics, and quite honestly, I have seen lots of weddings that have happened in that way. There are lots of different reasons for it, but people did there best to make it an occasion that everyone could enjoy within their means. There are a lot of reasons you may be upset about your wedding, but it's superficial in comparison to the happiness of a marriage.
Having seen your nikkah jora, I have to say it really is beautiful and I DEFINITELY think you should wear it for your sister's wedding day. You can wear the other suit for the mehndi or eid or something. When else are you going to wear something that heavy but your own sister's wedding?!?!?
