here is my stake on this....you didnt do much good with light and shades, although the figures themselves arent that bad. You have projected the light source at the top left of the composition, yet you failed to provide any shades thereof for the items. and also there is no breathing room to the bottom and to the right. To me, in short, it is not a worthy at all.
(dont get disappointed, you asked for a fair analysis...didnt you! )

You mean to say, I have given a single tone to the whole drawing? There is no sense of light and dark areas? There is a light source on the top left and you say the items have no lighter left sides and no darker right ones? I mean, I really don't understand where I have failed in showing that? I guess I should have enhanced the contrast a bit more( in terms of shading it is a rule to enhance contrast a bit more in the drawing from what u see in the reality), but I havn't failed totally for sure.

Yeah, that I agree. The bottom right looks too crowded as compared to the other parts.

I am thoroughly disappointed, I cannot lie. I mean, no one has judged any of my drawings so harshly. I am attending an art school, and havn't faced even half the critisism in my whole term of what u have dished out here. But thanks anyways. I have to learn to take critisism aswell. Henceforth I won't forget the enhanced contrast rule.. thanks to you.

hey well the picture is obv very nice as someone else pointed out too the figures are prefect .. but i think the area above the lying lipstick is a bit dark.. or may be something else had its shadow there when you were sketching it .. but its visible .. the objects not there but the shadow is.. so may be thats the only problem with the composition.. abt the rest the shading on the objects is great :) the bright parts seem real.
