Im sorry to post the thread here but I thought it would make sense as im trying to conceive aswell…
I have got PCOS (diagnosed last year) and been irregular on bleeding since i was 20 so almost 6years now but it wasn’t that severe before i would get a normal periods once in 2-3months but since 2-3 years my cycle have been awful i wouldn’t get my periods for 3months and then brownish+reddish discharge goes for more than a month+ and then i get periods for a month or so but this time my periods are totally not stopping! Been bleeding for almost 4 months now cant use birth control pills as my body cant tolerate them plus i have fibroadenoma in my right breast and these hormonal pills can be harmful for my breast aswell…I so badly want to have a baby i have been married for 2 years now but the periods are making me so worried and lifeless…So is there anyone went through the same situation like me? Or if any of you have any clue please help me i just need to stop this bleeding like NOW!! dying
P,S I have just moved to Dubai and have no clue how medical here is like plus i have no medical insurance..
Iv been bleeding for over a month and found out i have polyps jn my uterus and the lining was very thick
i was given tranexamic acid tablets to calm bleeding down followed by ‘the pill’
you need to go to the doctors asap as after having a scan done i was told i needed a hysteroscopy to clean the uterus
had the procedure yesterday n alhamdulilah bleeding has stopped n feel much better
cant conceive if ur uterus doesnt hv space for a baby- good luck and dont worry insh kids will come as soon as u hv this problem sorted x
Well I would seriously suggest you to look for a proper gynecologist, I also had Fibroadenoma in my right breast 2 years back, It was around 2cm, But I got it removed soon after I got married. Keep a track on it. Since your body has messed up hormone which can only be sorted after visiting doctor. I also TTC for around 2 years, Alhamdulillah my periods were always on time, I have myself gone through many fertility test. You can PM me, will suggest you some Doctor in Dubai.
OP, please go see a gynecologist ASAP, the issues you have are very treatable if you do something about it in time. I sincerely hope things get better for you, inshallah.

I consulted a doctor she gave me meds but nothing is seem to be working i took homeopathy for 3 months and now the gyne has prescribed me meds but nothing whatsoever is working for me
Did they do any investigations? If not get a second opinion and ask them to do investigations. Bloods, ultrasound whatever else required. You need to find the cause for it. Also ask them what it is that’s causing it. Don’t let them fob you off with just medications and no explanation. Ask questions.
I struggled with the same symptoms for years. I would have heavy bleeding and debilitating cramps for 3-4 months at a time. It turned out that not only did I have PCOS, but stage 4 endometriosis.
I was never diagnosed properly during my teenage/early adult years. My previous gyn’s would just put me on bcp and call it a day. It wasn’t until after I got married and started having repeat
miscarriages that the severity of my situation was discovered. Don’t waste time and let the dame thing happen to you. You need to find a qualified gynacologist, preferably a Reproductive Endocronologist, and have ultrasounds and a laparoscopy done to rule out endometriosis.
And for heavens sake, please don’t rely just on homeopathy!!!
Omg your post cheered me up i know you have kids so its not just me who is suffering from all this crap! My doc said i wouldn’t have endometriosis as it occurs to those who have frequent periods and a person who wouldn’t have proper monthly shedding wouldnt have endometriosis and i was like oh okay thats not me then…do you think ultra sound can detectd endometriosis?? My doctor now have prescribed me PRIMOLUT N its a progesterone pill 3times a day for 21 days im so scared to take these kind of pills because it looks like they just messs up with your system rather than fixing it
For a proper endometriosis diagnosis, you need to have a laparoscopy.
Rememeber also that pcos is essentially a endocrine/metabolic disorder…your body is either over or under producing hormones which changes the way you process nutrients (mainly insulin) and thus causes your ovaries to malfunction.
For some people (like myself) the effects never go away. I had a complete hysterectomy after having my twins, and even without my ovaries, I still have to take metformin and deal with pcos.
Finding the right course of treatment (wether it’s change of diet and weight loss/gain, taking meds or a combination of both) is key.
I can’t stress enough getting a proper diagnosis through a qualified doc.
HERES AN UPDATE: Im updating so that if anybody ever go through the same situation know what i did.
So finally my bleeding has stopped i took progesterone pills (primolut N) for 21days and it stopped the bleeding immediately but when i was stopped bleeding i had to do Ultra sound (which i was told a high definition to have better picture) and it showed very thick lining hyperplasia along with PCOS my thickness was around 18mm and when i stopped taking the pill my AF came with so much pain that i was in the hospital via ambulance (it was that bad, and no it wasn’t the first time i have the same pattern over 2years now) but it stopped in a week and i went to do the ultra sound today and my thickness has gone to normal range and now i need to do the blood work for all the hormones when i get periods next (which wont be anytime soon) I really want to know if everything is fine with my ovaries and endometrium need to find out overall health of the uterus. So i discussed it with my Doctor what to do next and I am going to give a one last try to the homeopathy before anything which i got to cure the PCOS + Help conceiving if it doesn’t work I am going to do whatever the Dr ( Shes a fertility doc) says she said she would want me to try homeopathy for 5months and then if it doesn’t work she would give me meds to regulate the cycle first and then the fertility drugs. So lets see how things would go for me and please pray for me as I really need them!
Hey OP I read on another forum about an acupuncturist in Dubai who women have had success with infertility and pcos/hormonal issues. You could give it a try if u want. She worked in some medical centre before but now freelances after having a baby. She comes to ur house and does the session. Dr.Ou 00 971 506328378. Update if u try her out.
