My impressions of Pakistan have changed

Re: My impressions of Pakistan have changed

The question is, if someone ws not involved in the killings on either side and no say in the matter and wants to learn more about the other side and reach a hand of freindship what is wrong with that. While false perceptions can be corrected and real factors of why the wounds are so deep in teh psyche of the people explained, that should not stop from people trying to build bridges.

I dont think anyone is saying to just become some united India again, but that for the people we can not afford to continue fighting and drinking the koolaid being given to us for decades. Honor the ones who were massacred, those who went missing..condemn the powers that turned the migration of 1947 into one of the bloodiest times in our history.. but lets not use that as a reason to fight generation after generation.

Let that be a lesson that unchecked hate, brainwashing and lack of understanding each other plus jahalat leads to the displays that ashamed humanity in 1947.

And please no lecture on posting this while sitting in some comfy place in the west. My family lost people during migration, many went missing..i.e. were killed and the bodies never found. So lets not go there.
