I have to disagree with you…some kids nvr grow out of having hairy body. Just look at the majority of the desi population ![]()
Re: My HAIRY child
my mom was SO ready with her atta and oil and salt mixture when my son was born.. sadly for her, he was born with no body hair at all.. excpet for in the right places like eyebros and head :D
but we do do it in our familiy.. on newborns..
3 yr sof age like ppl have said is a bit too old and she will hate u pretty much to your days end
so let her be.... when she grows up, she will be ready to torture herslef willingly by waxing.
u keep ure daughters love for now hmm.
I wanted to write A LOT more in my first post, but had to attend to some urgent matter....
Guys, i can take a laugh and joke, and i don't know if it's cos** i've got a bun in the oven that my emotions** are magnified x100 but
OMG - congrats!!! ...
Maroush -** I am not advocating anything that causes the child pain** but we desis are a bit hairy (some more than others - all you hairy people you know who you are)
It's like shaving a child head (in our cultrue you see girls that are 3 with bald heads - they look so wierd) but I don't know does it help them have great hair in the future.
Re: My HAIRY child

Firstly, the excess hair in young children, like i said before, is due to a normal bodily protection mechanism...this is called Lanugo hair. It grows for the purpose of insulation for your baby. The reason why i said models have excess hair also, is because when you are in starvation mode, the body automatically tries to protect itself by making up for the fat and insulation lost, thus Lanugo hair is triggered. Now i understand that some people think that rubbing the hair will make it fall out quicker, but i think it's wholly unecessary

I agree with Angel Eyes....I think for white babies it does fall out, you always read about how they lose then lanugo hair after birth....but for alot of brown people, it doesnt leave!! They are left with hairy arms, hairy legs, hairy everything forever!!!!!!!!
Re: My HAIRY child
^lol hairy everthing.
Re: My HAIRY child
My mom told me she did the besan/atta mix thing on me when I was about 4-5 months old. She said she only did it like 4 times and that it did work at the time (in hindsight she thinks she should have done it more as I always complain about me being more hairy than her). She also told me I NEVER CRIED AT ALL. If done properly, it won't hurt the baby, because baby's hair is so soft, it comes off very easily after a little bit of gentle rubbing.
Women have been doing this in Pak for generations and it is TRUE...women from my mother/grandmother's generation have WAY LESS HAIR then girls today.
I always look at my mom's arms and legs in awe....she has hardly any hair on her body at all and absolutely NONE on her back.
Oh how I wish she had rubbed me in atta for 2 years! LOL.
I def plan on doing this to my baby. She will thank me when she is 16. As long as she doesn't cry off course...
I don’t mind the atta-besan thing or whatever harmless method some mothers use, but the waxing part just shocked me!
Poor poor babies. Ergh, thats just child abuse
.. I’m getting those women arrested ![]()
Re: My HAIRY child
my mum also did the besan thing on me when i was a kid..and i dont have a single hair on my body !!..so it seems to work really well!
Re: My HAIRY child

and how do u use this atta, besan mix, should u do it even there is hardly any hair on the kid?
Re: My HAIRY child
I have decided to let her be for now but if someone has the exact recipe please post here.

Re: My HAIRY child
was just wondering many mums in Pakistan get their daughters hair waxed at the age of 11( just b4 they hit puberty). It's meant to lessens the hair growth all together, is it true and does it actually work?
