Seems like what happend is that this gentleman had some utopian view of Pakistan, and it got badly tarnished. Too bad! Plus he seem to have a lot of curiousity about sex, and that led him to various situations involving that... kehtay hai naa.. where there is a will, there is a way. So he looked for all the "fun"-spots and found what he wanted.

He has no idea, what people think, anyway, so it was basically what he thought. Not necessarily others.

What is more interesting is that he actually explained to you all the racy stories in such detail. The guy seem to love masala too? :)

actually lusi i have heard this from some of my friends nd there is a certain cast hmm (yah i dont wana name it ) most of them r da ones who have been doing such things...

As I have stated over and over again, this is my friend's account. Not my account. I'm sure plenty of people dont believe him, and even I have issues with some of what he said to me, but this was HIS account. He is telling HIS experience. He was shocked, and I was shocked at some of the things happening too (according to him). I have not heard of principals participating in prostitution rings at school, its something I have never heard of. Whether its me being naive, is one thing, but I havent heard of it, so yes it is shocking to me.

People keep saying here that they cant believe this is happening in Pakistan, that my friend was exaggerating, but then quite a few people have told me outside of gupshup that yes this does go on. Who to believe?

About the medicine, that is what he said. I wasnt there so I cant say he was lying or not. I simply wanted to relate to guppies what someone experienced in Pakistan. I dont see why some individuals are getting upset over this. If you dont believe its true, then fine, leave it be, state what you feel and end it. Afterall, its one persons opinion.

As far as character assassination goes, I dont want to involve myself in that. He did what he did for whatever reason. I am no angel by any means, so I wont even go there. He was curious, he found out what he did. That goes in his record, not yours. He could have been biased, whatever. Plenty of people come to the USA and make assumptions on what they see, and go back and tell tales, maybe he did the same thing, maybe not. Take it for what it is, a personal account of what someone experienced.

Everyone makes assumptions about the people they see and the things they experience. How many people dont like arabs because they went to some land and saw some bad things and then paint all arabs with the same brush and say they are all corrupt? My friend didnt say all of Pakistan is like that. So yes, everyone is different, everyone experiences different things. This isnt a cross sectional study on Pakistan and society. It's one man's experience. Take it for what it is.
