My forays into the world of eye makeup.

Re: My forays into the world of eye makeup.

wow, i see a huge improvement, nicee job.

Re: My forays into the world of eye makeup.

Gorgeous!!! Love it!

One tiny little thing… the brow highlight appears a tinsy bit chalky… I noticed that in some of the other pics too… may be it’s too light for your skin tone.

Other than that, it’s really pretty! Great improvement! Oh and flick that eyeliner, woman, you have gorrrrgeous eyes, accentuate them! :chilly:

Re: My forays into the world of eye makeup.

Wow Reha, fantastic job. I really love the thickness of that eyeliner especially how bold it shows up on your beautiful brown eyes that I could swim in forever. Your blending is really shaping up well and might I add your lashes are so volumnous and long. <3

Re: My forays into the world of eye makeup.

Did sweeftie put you up to this? :hoonh:

Re: My forays into the world of eye makeup.

An unfinished eye in the middle…I wiped it all off because I wasn’t sure about it. I tried to go into the crease in this one…do you guys see it? I think I was unsure because it was on my own eye and I couldn’t tell if I could pull this off but here it is:

My sister’s eyes today:

You think so? I am using a standard white-ish color. I could go for a bit more of a yellower tone…yeah?

I lovvve flicked eyeliner but not sure if I could do it.

Re: My forays into the world of eye makeup.

Love what u did on your sister, yea you're playing it safe with eyeliner, go dramaticcccc :D

Re: My forays into the world of eye makeup.

Reha you said you were NC30 in another thread - same as me. I use shadows like MAC phloof/shroom for the browbone or Grand Entrance (think it was LE or DC tho) for extra highlighting. But careful where you highlight (i.e might not be appropriate all over the brow bone area), the shimmer can make the area look swollen.

Re: My forays into the world of eye makeup.

Reha, great job on the blue one. It looks awesome! And like Stoppit said, try going w/ a lighter/less frostier eyeshadow so it doesn't look "stark".

Re: My forays into the world of eye makeup.

Question for you guys...

When you do a cut crease...what do you use? It seems it has to be a color that is easily blended but at the same time retains itself. So...do you use eyeliner pencil? Black shadow? Gel?

Re: My forays into the world of eye makeup.

Reha, it’s about layering and blending and then reapplying. This may answer your questions:

Re: My forays into the world of eye makeup.

That was suuuuuuuuuuuuuper cool! Loved it...going to attempt this!

Re: My forays into the world of eye makeup.

Possibility. I’m actually browsing these threads to learn the proper technique though. I wanna do the same.

Re: My forays into the world of eye makeup.

Post more pix too Reha once you attempt it!!

Re: My forays into the world of eye makeup.

I dunno if anyone else does this but after using a nude shadow all over my lid and brow bone, I do my eyeliner and extend it out how much I think it looks good then do my eyeshadow. I feel it helps with where to take the outer V too. Then I just touch it up again at the end.

Re: My forays into the world of eye makeup.

The same look in different lighting:

Please critique away…I stopped using the white or pearly high lighter…I am now using a gold-ish tone. I think I like the effect in the pictures much better,

I did the cut crease and then blended like crazy so its a bit hazy in the picture because of the flash but it was much more intense in real life. It turned into a red brown crease. Now to make sure I can translate makeup well in pictures is also a challenge.

...Reha? I LOVE IT! That looks stunning, I notice already changing highlighter tones made a huge difference. I suggest going for a less frostier/shimmery highlighter when the lid is frosty/shimmery. Do you have the MAC eyeshadow in Ricepaper? It's a gold-toned highlighter and perfect and subtle enough for even shimmery looks. That would be perfect for this.

And you did fantastic blending, I love it!

Re: My forays into the world of eye makeup.

Wow!! My favorite pics from you by a milestone. The makeup is blended with perfection, and I love the dark matte shade in the crease…it’s what i’ve been waiting to see from you. Also, for demonstrative purposes, I like the lighting in the first pic better, and the clarity is much better too.

Re: My forays into the world of eye makeup.

Niceeee, I'm not into eye makeup but I like what I see as a viewer, can we get some dramatic looks now, and nice job on the liner, you can still apply more in the inner corners, idk how to explain haha

Re: My forays into the world of eye makeup.

Yayyyyyyyyyyyy! I am so glad you like it!

I don't have Ricepaper...I am going shopping next weekend so that will be on my list of things to pick up for sure!

happydance

I am so excitedddddddddddddd!

Absolutely! I tried to do a really dark foresty green eye today with black but stopped mid way because I think I needed to work on the crease and blending more.

Tomorrow will be dramatic eyes!

There is one look I have been wanting to duplicate for a while now...will have to find the pic but its amazing.
