Just as i thought. It is NOT your fault if your family is going through tough time. And you are trying to be there for the family which is quiet honorable. Secondly, since he lives in Pakistan or may be grew up in Pakistan..he really needs to be much more understanding that in west things work differently. Men like that are plain chauvinist in my opinion. Least your fiance can do is by understanding of your situation. If he does not, this probably questions your relationship with him. I mean isn’t it the most fundemental thing to be understanding and caring toward your partner. Lastly, he is just a “fiance” not your husband who should order you around. Even you know what, no couple should “order” each other what to do. You work together for your marriage. Very sad.
And work from home is very very hard to find though you may try to look for some other office jobs. But in life, nothing is easy. And as Reha said..until you marry him..and if he can afford it…then..you should be happy to quit your job.
