Re: My experience with ordering from Hajra Hayat
Well you expect people who copy other people's work to bad, but HH is supposed to be a real designer, I wouldn't expect to haggle if I odered a designer dress!

Re: My experience with ordering from Hajra Hayat
Here we are approaching end of Oct 11th my time and still no response from the HH enterprise. I lost my $575!
Re: My experience with ordering from Hajra Hayat
end of day Oct 13th and still no response. I sent Hajra a very nice message trying to work this out to everyone's satisfaction ? Are they just going to ignore this and have me go away??
nope, on facebook Type in Hajra hayat
Maria,
It seems every since Rabeela the manager discovered your posting of my experience on the HH page, they both have decided not to respond to any of my emails!!
Re: My experience with ordering from Hajra Hayat
UPDATE:
i sent this message to HH :
" you might wanna read this:
http://www.paklinks.com/gs/bazaar-talk/298629-my-experience-ordering-hajra-hayat.html "
and she replied :
"yes have been viewing this from day one …its really sad how this kurti episode is being taken …and all of this negativity before our CUSTOMER SERVICE cud play its part .
and rest assured we let the link on our facebook group be there for a whole DAY to see if anymore posts come in , we had to remove it as no one probably ,was interested ."
So she has time reply to your messages, but not mine? How can they say this has gotten out of hand before their customer service could play a part when you all saw their responses? it is like pulling teeth to get a response?? I have been sending emails almost daily!
It is so sad. I truly believe in supporting women in business, and fellow Muslim business, at that! And here she is giving the notion that it all blew up before she could do anything.
All those that have read this thread can attest that I have been waiting and waiting.
It's even more disheartening that she would know when a woman earns money and spends it on something for herself, she would expect to receive what she paid for. I would have had better luck throwing this money into the stock market.
In fact, I'm driving around with those kurtis in my car in case they email me the DHL shipping number, I can stop and send it immediately!
Ladies,
Still waiting to hear back from you. I would like to resolve this matter in a professional and satisfying way for everyone. You have acknowledged errors in stitching and I have requested the kurtis to be returned, repaired and sent back to me at your expense. In our early email communications, Rabeela has stated that customer satisfaction is very important.
I believe in supporting female business women who work hard and strive for the best in a difficult world of commerce. I would hope that Hajra Hayat would not want to jeopardize her reputation over a shipping expense.
Sincerely,
Jamila Zafar
Dear Jamila
We have been aware of all discussions on the forum and the thread posted on the facebook group since day one, we have a team scanning our group activity so we don’t miss anything. We purposely in all fairness gave it a whole day so as to see if any one had a view, but since no one seemed interested we had to take it off.
As for the kurti issue, since you have chosen to bring this matter in front of the entire forum, our team has chosen to resolve it right here. As we have nothing to hide or fear, and we take immense pride in going to great lengths to satisfy our clients.
As to your query of customer service, we wish you had dealt with this matter in a normal, subtle way. As we have admitted to the stitching error (which can occur in hand stitched garment and is very much reversible) and had just requested that you send us the garments back for a recheck. The day you posted this information to the gupshup forum, I was in discussion with the head of customer services at HH, and had come to a very good conclusion, which would definitely have made you a happy client. But our entire team at HAJRA HAYAT feels very sad that you have chosen to ridicule and embarrass the brand and make personal comments about the designer over two minor stitching errors, which we had promised we would take care of.
On our own end we understand that we have to deal with all types of people and all kind of mindsets, but our policy at HAJRA HAYAT is to provide each one to the best of our capacity.
Coming back to the conclusion we had made to your enquiry, you still need to send these outfits back to us and fax us copy of your courier bill, if the fault is entirely on our end and the outfits are UNWORN, we will make sure that your courier spending is refunded, also we have already offered to cover the dispatch of your clothes from Pakistan which will be a $100 each leg. Making it a total loss of $200 on a sale of $500, against which we are giving you 4 beautifully embellished kurties. This loss or this sale is of no value but our reputation and service definitely is, had u waited for our response to your email, u would have saved yourself and, your purchase, from a reputable brand, from unnecessary scrutiny , and could have done this all later, had we denied u anything.
Last but not the least, you are our valued customer but we wish you had shared with the group on gupshup forum the ON TIME DELIVERY and commitment on DESIGN and COLOR, which were your fears in the beginning.
We hope this will satisfy you and we look forward to continuous business with you.
Much Regards,
Rabeela Uqaili
Branch Manager – Karachi
Hajra Hayat
Rabeela,
Please remove my name from your posting. There is a reason why I have chosen the username I did. Secondly, time was of the essence. all my emails are dated to show that I had waited reasonable time before my actions.
Thirdly, I understand stitching errors may occur, however, I would expect your quality control would catch that.
Will it be possible to enclose a copy of the courier bill or send you a scan via email rather than international fax?
Looking forward to a satisfactory resolve for everyone. Upon the date of receipt of perfect kurtis, I will do everything in my capability to keep your reputation intact.
Also, please note I did indicate in my earlier post that the kaam embellishment was appropriate and your pricing was good. I also commented on the timing of work when I wrote that I contacted you and Hajra 4 weeks later.
Re: My experience with ordering from Hajra Hayat
HAHAHAHA, funny i dont think she would of come to any conclusion had you not cussed of her business on GS,
Re: My experience with ordering from Hajra Hayat
Well I hope you all understand that I had no intention of "cussing" the business. Merely, trying to get help on what to do. I have never had any business transaction go this way.

Re: My experience with ordering from Hajra Hayat

Re: My experience with ordering from Hajra Hayat
OOPs posted it to the wrong forum sorry!
I had emailed her manager Rabeela a few times on my unsatisfaction of the order and cc'd Hajra. Hajra never replied and Rabeela's friendly vibe disappeared and now they no longer reply to me.
I am totally shocked at the height of unprofessionalism displayed by this designer and her team! First, she messes up an order and then refuses to acknowledge her mistakes until the issue is brought up in an open forum, only because she wants to salvage her reputation as a "designer" (yeah right) not because she cares about customer satisfaction. My darzi is more professional than this, he admits his mistake and fixes it without ANY CHARGES! Designers hold themselves to a higher standard than darzis and karigars (who are the unsung heroes actually) because of this so-called professionalism, when there is a total absence of it!
Wondergurl - this has been a very frustrating and hurtful experience. I had been emailing both of them for days and responses were a few lines or nothing until this forum came to their attention.
As someone living in the US, I am not used to this back and forth business. Transactions are very direct there. If they are still working on a resolution, they tell you they will get back to you instead of not responding. If one receives no response to several emails, there is no choice but to assume nothing will be done! I have taken the time zone difference into consideration and know these people are connected to their Blackberries 24/7 because I have received messages at all hours.
This was confusing when Rabeela responded on this forum saying that I would have been satisfied with what they had planned to, but why didn't they tell me from the beginning instead responding in baby steps? It would have avoided this whole discussion.
Now I have sent the clothes back at an addtional $95 cost via Fedex and they should be receiving it on Oct. 21st. I am concerned that they will find fault in it somehow. I emailed both of them a detailed letter along with my courier receipt and pray for the best. Rabeela's response on this forum appeared to be in good faith, despite the "dealing with all kinds of people" insult. We shall see how this turns out. Hopefully everyone will be mutually satisfied and their quality control will be revamped.
Re: My experience with ordering from Hajra Hayat
Very stressful indeed ... it probably goes back to business practices here (in the US) vs Pakistan. Here business will ensure after a particular transaction the customer leaves satisfied, and will not be offended to admit mistake. In Pakistan, unfortunately admitting mistake or fault is considered "below them" ... mentality of "I'm right you are wrong"
In the end I hope everything works out for you ... but it is shame how these so called designers treat their customers!
Ladies,
Jamila Zafar
Dear Jamila
Much Regards, Rabeela Uqaili Branch Manager – Karachi Hajra Hayat
rule # 1 never disclose your customers information without her consent, in yours it wasnt necessary, name removed or email headers without email and name would have done for your credibility.
Is this kurti ^ the one advertised on her website below:
:::::: WELCOME TO HAJRA HAYAT :::::::::](http://www.hajrahayat.com/semiformal/index.html) (scroll down, the 8th pic not the first)
if it is…yours doesn’t even come close, the material is totally different on her website, there is no neat finishing…wheres the piping on the neckline, arms and daman. it looks like a cheap copy. sorry to make u feel worse but i think u’ve been cheated, u should ask for a refund. if your sister is still in pakistan, tell her to meet this HH and demand a refund.
Re: My experience with ordering from Hajra Hayat
the fabric looks like Raw Silk or something on the pic but not in the kurtis you got, unless that was agreed upon, I see how its not done correctly....
Re: My experience with ordering from Hajra Hayat
Yes, one of the kurtis is based off that outfit. To give Rabeela credit, she asked me what my budget for kurtis was and made kurtis based off of the suit designs. I didn't want full kaam because I wanted to be able to wear the kurtis with nice pants to office, lunches, etc.
It was agreed upon beforehand to have less kaam except for the $225 one. Two of the kurtis were based off of the website and the other 2 were from pictures on the Facebook group.
After seeing the clothes with the sheer sleeves, I regretted not ordering in raw silk.
My sister left Pakistan yesterday.
