misterofall420,
Maybe you need to practice what you preach, Where's your proof, the evidence you gave was not the army of the khalif.

Re: My email to Newsweek...
I'm not talking about just the Khalifah of the Ottomans/Usmanis. I'm talking about Muslim empires in general.
Re: My email to Newsweek...
My email to Newsweek...
I'm sure that it was immediately filed in the newsweek editors outlook trash bin titled "whiny muslims" alongside a bunch of emails from CAIR.
Re: My email to Newsweek…
I expected nothing less…However, the attempt was worth the effort…
Re: My email to Newsweek…
Yeah I am sure that’s exactly how it happened. Talk about religious tolerance and freedom of speech in America. ![]()
Re: My email to Newsweek...
If it was tossed, it wasn't because of intolerance or freedom of speech, it is because the Islamic version of Jesus is not accepted as history or truth in the non-Muslim world.
Re: My email to Newsweek…
The guy is quoting Buddhism, Epic of Gilgamesh, the Norse, the Hindu, the Druid philosophies and Jewish scriptures…Which, forget history or truth, have absolutely nothing to do with Hazrat Eesa :as:…
Yet Islam, the only religion, that believes in the same miraculous birth of Eesa :as: as Christianity, and it should not be mentioned, does it sort of give you an indication of something being wrong?
Give it a thought…
Re: My email to Newsweek…
Newsweek is not the govt’s gazett. Nor is it the religous authentic journal. Nor is the author a religous scholar.
Who gives a damn what appears in newsweek, except u morons.
Jesus, and other prophets r like thousands of years ago. Nobody knows about exact history 50 years ago. The religous history is all guess work. If u dont like American Newsweek, publish ur own Newsweek in USA, with ur version of history. Who is stopping u?
But then who will read ur Newsweek?
Re: My email to Newsweek...
^^
Those who matter will and those who matter not, won't...
Re: My email to Newsweek...
If we are segregating like that, then you matter not to American publishers of Newsweek. What's the beef?
Re: My email to Newsweek…
Then stop the propaganda about disseminating informative, unbiased reporting…
If in two major front page articles profess to discuss faith, and that too specifically Eesa :as:, then how can anyone ignore Islam…
Mr. Jon Meacham is actually an acclaimed theologian whose word is taken as an authority…
When the proclaimed scholars of a nation start giving out censured knowledge, know that something is wrong…
Re: My email to Newsweek...
These are the subheads for the stories:
"How did a Jewish prophet come to be seen as the Christian savior? The epic story of the empty tomb, the early battles and the making of a great faith"
"From Mary to the manger, how the Gospels mix faith and history to tell the Christmas story and make the case for Christ"
What do either of those articles have to do with your Eesa? They are about the Christ in the Gospels and how it relates to Christianity. The Muslim version is irrelevant to these articles. Get over it already.
Re: My email to Newsweek…
Very unpatriotic and unAmerican words…![]()
Well, Islam has a lot to say about the empty tomb, the early battles and the making of Christ to Christianity…More so than Judaism, Gilgamesh and Norse mythology…
The Holy Quran has an entire chapter dedicated to Mary…
All of this relates as much to Islam as to Christianity, unless like in the true American fairness it is swept under the rug…
It would have been okay if the article was printed in some second rate magazine…But this is Newsweek…It recently won many awards for its reporting…
I was surpised when a month ago this cop told me he didn’t know that Muslims believed in Eesa :as: as being Divinely inspired and that he had a miraculous birth…
But if it was Irshad Manji who said anything about changing Islam, you have her interview on PBS…
The glitter may cover the scars, but the sentiments are hard to conceal…Islam is a religion of the heart…You know how the saying goes 'Let your heart be your guide"…
You will hear the sound of history being made…
Re: My email to Newsweek…
No one is unbiased. Everyone comes with bias. Is this a news to u?
Orgs use marketing slogans all the time. It doesn’t mean u should belive them.
Re: My email to Newsweek...
Is this any more patriotic or American? Let it go
Your "religion of the heart" post does nothing to address the fact that these Newsweek articles are about how Jesus became the Christian savior, how Christianity came to be, Christmas and his position as Christ as through the Gospels.
The Quranic chapter on Mary or other Islamic "history" has nothing to do with the subject of these articles as Islam has nothing to do with the Christian interpretation of Christ.
Re: My email to Newsweek...
Oh, so Christianity has copyrighted Jesus?
How amusing.
Re: My email to Newsweek...
