Anyone remember Saleem Bhai's prediction in 2008? LOL

Re: My Election prediction
Ok.. Very predictable results. I predicted defeat of Kaira, Firdous Awan, Gilani son, and Pervaiz Ashraf. The fate of PPP is no surprise for people who were in touch with ground.
PTIshould have done better in Punjab but Nawaz bashing and not capitalizing on anti PPP sentiment actually gave an impression that PTI was actually friendly towards Zardari. It costed them dearly in Punjab. Their clean sweep in KPK was expected..
Re: My Election prediction
^True that, looks like the surveys were correct by and large. However, I do think 4-5 seats in Punjab lost due to rigging. Its time for IK to consolidate party infrastructure.

Exactly
Re: My Election prediction
I am glad i was able to give the forum the true picture. The biggest issue in this election was load shedding in Punjab while IK was 90% bashing Mian Saab giving a soft impression about load shedding. I had predicted that PML N will form the next government and they will not need ant allies.. With close to 132 seats they are in that position now.
I request all PTI supporters to go through my past posts and see actually if I was rightly pointing towards PTI short comings or not. IK strategist failed badly in impressing the Punjab mainstream voters. In general the voting was done on party lines with candidates becoming insignificant.
Over all this is the fairest election in the history of our country. Apart from Karachi where MQM was totally exposed and resorted to massive ghunda gardi the elections else where went on more or less smoothly.. IK failed to take MQM in Karachi.. I was predicting if IK takes Karachi seriously he can take most of Karachi seats.. But he failed to take MQM head on. Yesterday's incidences showed my points were very valid..

No doubt elections were free for most part, but you cannot deny the fact that playing field was not even. Both courts and Taliban tilted playing filed toward right wing parties.
Re: My Election prediction
Also IK comes across as too aggressive (and perhaps rude or arrogant) to the biradri-type people, like raising his bat in jalsas etc. Our conservative masses prefer someone humble and folksy like the Sharif brothers
As I said in another thread IK needs to tone down his language.
Even if IK had taken MQM head on, I am not sure how PTI candidates could have done well with all the tamasha and rigging that went on there
This is how he’s perceived by many on pkpolitics

Well said yazdi, as always. That's what I was telling my friends, PTI candidates in Punjab had poor reputation, like this Dogar from Qasoor who is big Badmash.
Re: My Election prediction
^ his language has hurt him, plus PMLN have successfully hammered into the minds of the people that PTI is playing for PPP. The hatred for PPP was very high (in punjab) which I and yazdi have been mentioning before, this has affected the party. Plus PMLNs performance was better than the other provinces, they had electables, favorable media coverage and some rigging in urban areas.

Re: My Election prediction
PTI should have kept in mind the presentability of candidates, but then again these candidates should have their own votes as well (electables) which I consider unfortunate at this age.
