don't listen to RV. she's making stuff up as usual. either you can cook or you can't - it can neither be learned nor taught. you're born with it. and cooking is indeed the end all be all of marriage/relationships.
so, my advice - send her back and ask for a refund/exchange/store credit. sounds like you got a bad piece.
No offense but your soo harsh .... it's okay if she can't cook .. give her some time teaching her properly and soon she'll learn ... I mean yea i understand how important it is for a married girl to be able to cook and stuff ( well atleast in our society lol).. but it's really difficult for some girls to actually get the hang of it .. and some ppl might think i'm sayin all this cuz i dunnu how to cook .. Thats true i dunnu how to cook as of yet ( and i am gonna learn soon for sure b4 marrige) and i'm not sayin all this cuz i think it's fine to not know how to cook.... but the MIl should take some time and teach her ... it would be really mean and rude to send her back to her house just because of that . And if u were illy concerened about cookin then why didnt u ask that before makin her your Bahu, i think if u had considered this thing b4 marrige .. then maybe she would of leraned and she would have been ready for all this ahead of time. These days it's not a big deal if a girl doesnt know how to cook .. so do also look at it in that sense too . if she's a nice bahu and is very respectful to u and everyone in your family then u should be really nice to her as well, and everythin will be fine ^_^ and if she's not so respectfull and obideint and is one of those girls who dont keep the will to learn stuff and please ppl, then just sit with her and talk to her nicely .. that she should have a nicer/ respectful behaviour towards things like such . just be nice and sweet and everythin will work out sweet hope this helped :)
