Pardon me, could respond to you earlier, It’s a long story. My mother looked in alot of places, but there were instances where we came pretty close however girls had their own commitments. they were from phoenix, houston and upstate newyork.
While there were two particular instances, where my mother was exploring two families, both of them from missouri. Girls had some history, which i knew personally. One of them went to my high school, back in the day. I am pretty sure, their families were unaware of the girls’ past as well. I was not planning to disclose anything to my mom, as this is against my own ethics, but girls found out that they were being considered for me, and they knew that I was aware of their past, so they rolled back the rishta themselves through their familes, this was 2 years back.
Commitments, and non-compatibility aside, then there is a third kind, mostly from pakistan, “already taken ones”, they are usually taken around 22 years of age. there was this daughter of my father’s friend, also our ex-neighbors from pak, to this very day, my father regrets about missing. 
That does not mean, that we are very picky people, it’s just that my father and myself, we honor our mother very much, for the way she’s raised me, and stood for the family. She is respected in the community, I just need someone to take her place as successor. demands from my side are pretty basic.
