Now thats a more rational view... I am not religious myself.. But I must say that if I was to choose a religion, it has to be Islam.. not becuase I was born a muslim but because I find it to be with the least loop holes... Violence is also a very strong element in many other religions...
Islam is a very young religion and what its going through now is what Christanity went throught about 600 years ago.. Its a cycle and we just happen to be in one of the worst periods of Islam where the most ignorant muslims live. But Islam needs leaders who are enlightened and more practical and not extreamist that have forcefully choosen to represent us.
Lastly I will still disagree with you for calling muslims a close minded society.. just because generalization is always wrong. And if i can find just one muslim who doesnt fit ur criteria ... your claim will then be incorrect.!

thanx…u r right …all muslims are not closed mind..but majority definitely…so was talking generally…so when overwhelming majority is wrong…people will talk in that way..as i…some time back i heard a indian journalist on tv..saying..all muslims are not terrorist but all terrorists are muslim…
as 4 as violence is concerend…no other religion then islam says to kill non belivers…as islam says dont trust jew and christains and kill pagans…
so who is more violent? intolerable?
there is no enlightenment …there is no moderate islam or muslim…this is a drama to fool the west…mostly ‘moderates’ r one who are not practically muslim but they cant say they r not muslim…bc again punishment is ‘death’ of a muslim if he leaves islam! again no equality…

What do u mean by who are not practically muslims. Who are u to decide that. I dont think u urself are showing any signs of enlightenment by assuming the authority of profiling people as practcal and non-practical muslims... Very judgemental..not so enlightened after all.

Yes, many are Muslims, but not every single one of them is a Muslim. The Indian journalist is a little off in his/her explanation.

Oh! So the Muslims residing both in Muslim and non-Muslim countries are pulling a scam by pretending to be Muslims because of the capital punishment. Had you said it about Muslim countries, I would've had more grounds to believe in your statement.
Could you please enlighten us lost folks as to what exactly is the correct and true Islam, which us so-called 'moderate' folks are unaware of and are running away from?
Please also do shed some light on the extent to which you have studied Islam. I would like to know the books you've referred to and the scholars you've consulted. Thanks.

This was during the last stages of the Prophet salaAllaahalayhiwasallam, its not perish its woe be on Jew and Christians instead of believing in Allaah, why did they confound to grave worship.
He means to say the Muslims should refrain from doing this act, as this cesured in Islam.

My God this thread is three pages long...the girl stated in the original thread that the guy wants to convert so he can be with her...isnt it obvious then that hes not sincere about converting...so why are you all still discussing it...
The girl herself has no problem with him converting to Islam for her...its a convenience for her so her family will accept him...she doesnt care if he worships Allah or not...her priority is her haraam relationship and making it a more convenient relationship...
I dont see why everyone is wasting their typestrokes on someone who isnt genuine in bringing their boyfriend to Islam...
