Hi..my bf is a nepali hindu & I’m a muslim. We have been seeing each other for the last 7months. I told him that I wud only marry a muslim..so one day we have to break up. Everytime we quarrel…I threaten to leave him. And yesterday he crossed the limit. I was so pissed…he tot this time I wud leave him…no two ways abt it.
So he told me dat..he cannot lose me..& so he is willing to convert in order to marry me. I was shocked…but I know once he says something..he wud do it. So perhaps he wud be another edition to the muslim society..Inshallah
I know he wants to convert becuz of me…but I want him to embrace Islam first before he embraces me.I wanna take him into Islam slowly before we do anything major like convertion…u know get the basics first perhaps. He doesn’t have too much time in his hand…from sch he has to go to work. For a start I gave him this book to read..its called God & Man ( Questions and Answers
So wat I wanna ask you guys is…what do I do in order to teach him more abt islam? I don’t know how to start…what shud the first step be?
i dont know where to begin with him. Its different when u do it & making someone else do it. I just cant straight away..teach him to pray namaz...he wud do it if i tell him too...but i dont feel its right. it wud be like forcing him to do it...wch he understands nothing abt.
I wanna start from the simpler things...like first getting him acquainted with islam.
How are you? Please get of away amongst opposite gender friends as it is considered to be Haraam. Well, at the moment, it is fine but never called boy friend. Just call a person. If you really falls in love then ask your parents to accept your engagement with that person. To get rid of away with love, refrain your thoughts of that person and start being busy with doing other good deeds. MashaAllah you have good opportunity to earn high amounts of good deeds of converting that person to Islam and please go for it.

thanks. well...i cud never talk to my folks abt him until he converts right. But i just dont know how to do abt doing things..u know...entering him into islam...? HOW?
I wonder does it really matter for him to convert since you guys have been dating for 7 months? I guess you were dating to discuss what will hapen or what life will be after death?
It is up to him if he converts to Islam or not. All you may do is attempt bring him towards the Islam with no forcing. The first step to convert a person to Islam, we have to attempt to assist that person and be politeful amongst good manners. Once again much rewards is gained for converting person to Islam, even for attempting with good intention.
You tell me what best differentiates Islam from other relgions.
What was the Prophets initial call, to the Mushrikeen of Islam. Look at the Makkaah surahs, the initial call was for Tauheed, first get him into the foray of Islam by explainig that we believe in One God, one Creator, one Unseen, All powerful God. There are no intricacies as in Islam they are no intercessors between man and Allaah. This is my personal experience, look at the scientific miracles in Quran and put it across tho him. But the most important is faith.
Convert just for the sake of marrying you? What if he reverts once you guys are married? Like some people said already, examine the situation carefully, do you really wanna do this?
You need to set an example for him.....teach him about Islam by practicing it yourself. Books is a great start...perhaps introduce him to someone at the masjid that can help him further (a male of course)
