my baby girl will be nameless :(

Re: my baby girl will be nameless :frowning:

I think you’re over thinking this. Your criteria should be to find a name that has a good Islamic roots - whether in meaning or history. Fatima is beautiful. I think nadz named her daughter Fatima. My niece is Sumaiya. My second niece is Maryam. My nephew is Bilal. These are pretty old names. I know people with these names as well. I went to school with two Sumaiya’s and know countless Maryam’s and a few Bilal’s. But you’re forgetting something here yanzala. Your child will take on certain characteristics from their names, sure. But the rest is all you…how you choose to raise them…how they turn out.
The first time I called Sumaiya by her name it was weird to me - such a big name for such a tiny little peanut. But now, I could not imagine another name suiting her better.
