KARACHI: Mustafa Kamal, former Karachi mayor and ex-MQM leader, has announced to form a new political party, which he said is unnamed for now.

Kia chahte ho bhai.. Ppl of khi can have their real representatives who are in their senses .. ( even though they are backed by establishment at the moment ) rather than invaders . Also a plat form where all ethnic groups can combine

This is such an extremist attitude, and it very much sums up the Muhajir voter mentality to a huge extent. Everyone who doesn't belong to 'their territory' or their 'ethnic blood line' is an invader. Do you even know what a definition of invader is? I'm not going to use the word xenophobia, but this is exactly what it looks like.
Nice to see you support establishment for once - good for them to realise that an ethnicity can only be reformed form inside. Hopefully, the Mustafa Kamal experiment won't turn into establishment and young Altaf Hussain Vol II. It very much feels like Deja Vu.

Interestingly, in his statement he openly accuses Altaf Hussain of being a RAW agent and the MQM as being RAW funded.

This is such an unfortunate attitude, and it very much sums up the Muhajir voter mentality to a huge extent. Everyone who doesn't belong to 'their territory' or their 'ethnic blood line' is an invader. Do you even know what a definition of invader is? Now their blue eyed boy Mustafa Kamal said everything, and said much more than what the evil outsiders/invaders had been saying all along. But Mustafa Kamal is 'apna' he's right, the others who state the obvious facts are invaders and outsiders.

Look even Mustafa Kamal is saying identity politics severely damaged the Muhajir community, not just in an episode, but for two generations. That roughly means 30 wasted years.
Moonstar and others - let's see if you condemn identity politics the way Mustafa kamal did.

What ever Mustafa kamal said is common knowledge, we have been discussing most of the points here over the years. Altaf hussain's press conferences while drunk has destroyed him completely in other provinces, barring a few urban centres of Sindh. Only time will tell if Mustafa kamal can provide an alternate to AH, but if he can sustain, his party can even rise on the national scene.
MQM should have ditched Altaf Hussain on their own account, ages ago. He is a liability for them for the past many years.
People can forgive MQM for the past provided they decide to mend their present and future.

Where was his consciousness when he was using MQM’s power as his b!tch? Suddenly AH is RAW agent, and Mustafa Kamal himself is an angel… reaks of establishment plans.

This is not a big surprise for many who knew it happening, timing ofcourse was the variable.
Around two years back I had projected it here Mustufa Kamal will come back from central Asia hideout and lead the MQM. It was establishment's plan when AH was about to be convicted for money laundering and then later it was hoped to be put behind bars for Imran Farooq. When both of them failed and AH still in MQM, now Mustufa Kamal is brought forward to be the founder of new party.
But lets take a step back and try to know who Mustufa Kamal is, from wut i know.
He started his struggle at MQM as a telephone operator at 90. Always one of the favourites of AH, even before MQM. And thats exactly why he kept on hopping up till he was announced the mayor/nazim. He certainly did a phenomenal job for Karachiittes but not everything was in front of everyone. Not even in bhai who publicly used to call MK as his son. And vice-versa MK always used to say I'm nothing but a humble karkun of bhai.
Long story short, their differences first appear when after his tenure of nazim ended, AH came to know that during his era MK took a huge kickbacks in all the construction projects happening all over in khi. They were from different companies. Actually the insurance scam he introduced to decieve govt was super-smart.
And MK never gave a fair share to AH, which was the cause of dispute. MK used to ship a ton of money to london but not from the side-money that was going only in his pocket alongwith some of the rabita committee members, one of which was sitting next to him today i.e. Anees Qaem khani, the formal zonal incharge of hyderabad.
Also another modus-ope***** that MK adopted was "china-cutting", that too without the knowledge of AH. China cutting is grabbing a govt/public land and giving it a legal shape of personal property. A lot of people from 90 were involved in that.
So then he had to run away and it was guess that he is somewhere in central-Asia where he has bought a hotel with his brother and live there forever. But a personality like his will never live like that. So few years back establishment contacted him as the alternate leadership of AH who seemed to be going in a lot of trouble. But his luck, he is out of those trouble so now here is the entry of MK.
He may be a better choice as compared to AH, but certainly not the best. Good luck Karachiittes with the new drama, its never-ending :)

It was a bold and commendable move by Mustafa Kamal.
Anyhow, MQM and its organisation is too strong for any person or institution to dent the party or party standing, and it would be very difficult if not impossible that any other party could win MQM voters, regardless of Altaf hussain stays MQM top leader or not. It is also difficult to replace Altaf Hussain as MQM top leader, even with all the allegations over him.
Well, as for allegations, leave AH, all top political leaders of Pakistan party, including NS, Zardari, IK, A Y Wali, Fazulu ... even dead leaders like BB ... actually, almost all political leaders are alleged as agents of India and would take funding from any source without asking question. So, why people worry about Altaf Hussain and not about other alleged criminals and foreign agents ... who are mega corrupts too (unlike Altaf and MQM)?
As for corruption is concerned, it is open secret that MQM is least corrupt than any Pakistani political party, who always wanted army to do accountability of every Pakistani without discrimination ... and we also know that worse corrupt parties in Pakistan is PMLN and PPP ... whose corrupt leaders (NS, Zardari, Bhuttos) live in billion of rupees property, have billions of dollars in Swiss bank accounts and have properties worth billions of dollars in London plus other world capitals.
So, what is the solution?
Only thing that can change the map of Karachi is Pakistan without corruption, discrimination, biases, nepotism, stigmatisation ... and country where rule of law is applied equally on all, and country that has 'very strong and powerful' local government looking after the needs and interest of local people.
Unfortunately, most Pakistanis love corruption, discrimination, biases, nepotism and stigmatisation (as long as they benefit) ... and hate merit, equality, and rule of law (as long as they benefit) ... and corrupt politicians of PPP and PMLN, who form federal government 'hate strong and powerful local government' ... as it would reduce their chances of mega corruption.
Since .. nothing would change ... most people of Karachi, be they Muhajirs or others living in Karachi, paying huge taxes and still suffering, would never trust other parties and would keep thinking that only party that would do something for Karachi is MQM.
Even Mustafa Kamal said in his speech that Rs 300 billion was spent through his hand (as Mayor of Karachi) ... and still he has no house, no plot, no business, nor bank balances, and was penny less when he resigned as senator even though he could have stayed Senator for 66 more months (something is true too, as all who have some knowledge about the issue know that). It is not exceptional about MK, but most MQM leaders have done little if any corruption. If instead of MK, if Mayor of Karachi was from PMLN, PPP, PTI, AL, PPP(S), PML(F), IJI, etc ... than they would have been multi millionaire by now in dollars.
[Note: If MK managed to spend Rs 300 billion on Karachi, than obviously he did with consent of Altaf Hussain, as even MK did not say that a part of those Rs 300 billion was taken away by AH. If AH was corrupt (like NS or Z) than most of those Rs 300 billion would have gone to Swiss accounts].
So, first end corruption from Pakistan and bring merit, rule of law and equality in country ... than only think what politics in Pakistan should be (including Karachi). That can only be done by Pak army, if they have will.
