its a great thing that the aussies are doing. i like the attitude very much. if you try to reason with the extremists you'd just be wasting your time cos hatred has been ingrained in them for a long time. so the only smart thing to do is to tell them point blank that everyone is equal and everyone will have to follow the same laws. there need not be a law for people of one religion as against people of another religion. if the country has a constitution and a law making and enforcing body then all the people living on the countrys soil has to follow it. plain and simple.
i like this lil game being played by the extremist clerics of living and enjoying the great living conditions and standard of life of one country but not having to follow the law and order system that prevails there.
there is an old saying in english: you cant have your cake and eat it too.

While I agree that a person must abide the laws of the land. A person no matter what his/her religeon should struggle for change in the law by any available means as long as its not going to hurt the integrity of the land.
All peaceful means should and must be used to change the laws of land.
I am sure no one would have any problem and will never be put on the evil list by the beloved media if any christian sect members calles australlian govt. being wrong and laws must be changed according to how they see christianity practiced…

Allah's laws only apply to those lands with belief in Allah. It makes as much since as a Christian trying to change the laws of Saudi Arabia or Paksitan to reflect Christian values/laws.

Good, I am off to Mecca to build a church. After that I think I will move to Pakistan and change the draconian laws that do not allow homosexuals to adopt children.

I am also very devastated that draconian laws against homosexuals are in Pakistan such as not being able to adapt! Not!
Its not such a big problem in Pakistan than 'civilised' countries as someone might like to think.

you dont understand. islam is the true religion and thus islamic laws have the right to be implemented in ALL of the world. you can build your church under islamic law and stuff so dont worry no one will be forced to become muslim. but the law must be islamic in every corner of the world. thats it. no compulsion in RELIGION, but the DEEN (way of life) must belong entirely to Allah.
