I don't care what their reasons are, you can't expect me to understand why they did it.
Especially since my aunt was nearly killed that day. If those Muslims who "understood" why they did it had a relative or two wounded or killed in the attack, then they would be singing a different tune.
There are people who lost relatives in 9/11 who have tried to understand the reasons why the attacks took place.
Just because someone you know was hurt or could have been hurt doesn't mean you should be blind to the reasons behind such an attrocity. By 'you' I mean anyone in general, not you specifically.
My cousin sisters were almost hurt in that incident (July 7) so don't think I don't know what you mean, but if they had been hurt I would still try and understand why the terrorist act took place.
'Understand' doesn't mean sympathise or agree with someone's actions. In this case I meant looking at the reasons behind the extremists' actions.
