you have seen the examples in Algeria, Turkey, Egypt and others if the extremist secular elements want they will abandon their own principles and accept military coup what hypocrites.

Erdogan ruling turkey now is also an Islamist. He has ruled by good governance and improving the economy of the country. Lets say democracy is removed from Pakistan (as its a curse according to you) what would you have it replaced by?

The problem with Musalmaan quom is that they are more suited to rule by *Danda.
Democracy or whatever form or version of it exists in west, seems to have worked well for them in recent history. But it cannot work for Musalmaan quom. They want a Kingdom like *Saudia Arab

The problem with Musalmaan quom is that they are more suited to rule by *Danda.

Saudi arabia is Monarchy where king makes the rules. If islamic laws was really implemented in Saudi the government would be first to be punished for things they get up to!

this topic was essentially about Armies cancelling elections when muslims had victory and in Turkey the army cancelled and did coups several times. Erdogan today has not implemented any islamic laws in Turkey, if i am incorrect you welcome to show me which ones.
Turkey economy has improved over past few years it grew to almost 9% in 2011 but went down to 2% in 2012. As discussed many times on the forums with capitalist models with a boom there always has to be a bust.
The people of pakistan overwhelmingly want Islam to rule over them, so it has to be islamic model of governance it cannot be a secular one because this contradicts Islam and the beliefs of the people and will lead to confusion and chaos and you can see result in the pakistan of today.
the fact remains democracy cannot deliver islam to the people and the people are overwhelmingly have shown they want islamic government so it will have to be secular democracy which is put in dustbin where it belongs.

Those are armies composed of Muslims themselves. What law would you have liked him to pass that you would deem as being Islamic ?

Those who really want ‘Sharia rule’ and are motivated enough do some activism about it are either a small number of extremists or Mullahs.
The common Muslim who supports Islamic rule on surveys are just fed up with the current state of affairs and wants to try something new. Not to mention he gets a huge guilt trip for saying NO to anything associated with Islam.
Hopefully you have a healthy degree of skepticism and should question what is so magical about ‘Shariah rule’ that once its enforced all the woes of Pakistan will go away?
