Muslims support UK's ban on Zakir Naik

i have seen some of his talks on tv, and he's always come across as a good guy to me. i think the molvis who agreed with the ban are doing it for emotional reasons definitely, which is really sad.

Re: Muslims support UK's ban on Zakir Naik

^I'm not a molvi and I'm not emotional. It's not my fault if Zakir Naik can't talk with wisdom in public.

This is against hindu preaching. Please follow your own om shanti om principle.

Why do you keep insisting he does not advocate terrorism? He does. And I posted earlier where Zakir Naik says this about terrorism:

If he (Osama) is terrorizing America the terrorist, I am with him.” “Every Muslim should be a terrorist”

Doostam psyah, you at least need to accept that people who oppose Zakir Naik are not doing it out of sheer emotions. There is a reason. Those people refuse to trust a person about Islam who makes such a blatant error as to call Yazid as razi-allah. This shows his lack of judgment and low character.
Even if you disagree with this reasoning, you can not call it “emotional”.

Re: Muslims support UK’s ban on Zakir Naik

^ :smack:

do you know the difference between a terrorist and an innocent? he’s saying American the terrorist! Jeez, this is elmentary stuff. or has fox/cnn propganda machine done so much brainwashing that you can’t tell the difference between such simple things? khoji u r smart, use ur smarts. stop being so emotional all the time. :hehe:

dude i cant believe that people would go to such lengths to defend something like that. All of the sudden Mr Zakir is some infallible preacher devoid of emotional bursts himself. Why is it so hard to accept that he made a mistake? Now before i even say anything i need to establish whether he acutally can make a mistake. Can he cricketplaya?

I don’t like Dr Zakir Naik because of several reasons but he’s no way near a terrorist, what he said in the bold part you quoted was a statement he made before 9/11. And he always says that he’s against the killings of innocent people.

Do you know that even great sunni scholars like Imam al-Ghazali wrote “rahamaullah” with Yazid’s name?

Re: Muslims support UK's ban on Zakir Naik

to score a 'clever point' he said 'every muslim should be a terrorist' - terrorizing who?

"the anti-social elements of the society". Why are people so dumb these days?

He is the khalifa after all.. xD

Psyah

My point is that since everybody knows that the west is maudlin with its concern with Islam and Terrorism, Mr Zakir should have opted for more politically correct terms, so to speak. Such analogies play sharp on their sense of vulnerability and a person like Zakir who has been around the world should know this fact. The ban comes as no surprise and he must consider how he goes about his affairs.

Is imam Ghazali infallible? and can Mr Zakir who has a penchant for logical discussions not find the logic behind for NOT refering to him as Rahamullah?

If the group who supported the ban are those who disliked his views on Yazid then the support is not much of a surprise. A maverick like Zakir with his views on Yazid is bound to attract such negative attention. Do i have it right or am i missing the whole picture?

Infallible? And where does it say that saying rahmaullah with yazid's name is a sin?

Jafri

Going by these standards all the shia who curse sahaba will be banned from entering UK.

I support the ban not because he said may Allah forgive/mercy on yazid or may Allah mercy on Hitler. I support the ban because his approach to British audience is incorrect and offensive.

Peace khoji

You know sometimes I see people get upset about someone who has slandered another person, who the first person respects.

But you get upset when someone has respected another person, a person who you disrespect. It is rather amazing to insist that a person has ‘terrorist’ tendencies for showing respect to person whom I dislike.

It is sheer emotions I cannot accept anything contrary. I am not saying that you are not allowed to make emotional decisions, you are.

However, the government cannot be ruling on this basis. One day it could bite us in the backside, they may use the same tactics on us. So we need to stand for what is right. Our personal dislikes aside. Zakir Naik is not a terrorist and his choice of words were not appropriate for a UK audience. My wife says he should be banned for this very reason, but I say give him a break, he made a mistake in his ‘wit’. Those who keep posting this line that he uttered are doing so knowingly out of context. Listen to words of real radical clerics and you will see the difference. Abu Hamza and Omar Bakri - compare their words with Zakir Naik - if you want to be truthful.

Re: Muslims support UK's ban on Zakir Naik

The correct interpretation of Naik's words ... "Every Muslim should be a terrorist" - He means, that every Muslims should love 'goodness' and hate 'evil'. The counter-terrorist. Every Muslim needs to be a counter-terrorist. This is the real intent of the words of Zakir Naik. He wants Muslims to be the reason for terrorists to stop doing evil. He wants us to be the people who strike fear in the hearts of the 'real-terrorists'.

He mentioned US and that was wrong, it made him appear to take sides, but we should take every good action by any nation and support it and any bad action by any nation and speak out against it. This is our right and duty and what we have been put here for. He was not telling us to stand up and start killing innocents in some ideological frenzy, this is not the method of Islam.

He's the one who's not giving himself a chance, instead of apologizing he's going to challenge it and some other dumb comments he made after the ban like " they banned me because I'm the most popular guy in town and most watched TV channel is Peace TV and Britons are afraid of me because Islam is spreading very fast in West because of me".

I'm sorry but Zakir Naik needs to get off his high horse coz Allah doesn't like arrogance.

Re: Muslims support UK's ban on Zakir Naik

the peoples who are supporting the ban on him are not muslim i think they are british agents....
