He's the one who's not giving himself a chance, instead of apologizing he's going to challenge it and some other dumb comments he made after the ban like " they banned me because I'm the most popular guy in town and most watched TV channel is Peace TV and Britons are afraid of me because Islam is spreading very fast in West because of me".

dude i cant believe that people would go to such lengths to defend something like that. All of the sudden Mr Zakir is some infallible preacher devoid of emotional bursts himself. Look, you guys got to understand the audience he’s speaking to. In subcontinent, heck even in the western countries where subcontentinent audiences it’s not uncommon to hear such talks, using simple analogies. That’s what *we *understand. It’s light and to the point. Not to mention the fact taht almost everyone criticizing him has taken his words out of context.

My point is that since everybody knows that the west is maudlin with its concern with Islam and Terrorism, Mr Zakir should have opted for more politically correct terms, so to speak. Such analogies play sharp on their sense of vulnerability and a person like Zakir who has been around the world should know this fact. The ban comes as no surprise and he must consider how he goes about his affairs.

Politically correct terms? The ulema have stopped talking about jihad and politics altogether it seems and you’re asking a speaker to be PC? Come on! I thank Zakir Naik for stepping up and involving politics and speaking on jihad. The ulema are not doing it, that means regulars like Zakir Naik shouldn’t? Rather than banning them, we should be supporting such speakers IMO.

Our youth are so brainwashed today into two extremes, 1) the politically correct stance where all mujahideen are terrorists or 2) al-qaida club
There’s need to be a middle ground and that’s where the ulema are not stepping up and talking. Encourage them rather than shoot them away and suffer the consequences (“homegrown terrorists”)

Yes I have read the history and different people view others differently. Shias see Abu Bakr(ra) and Umar(ra) differently and Khariji view Ali(ra) differently. And may be zakir Naik and others view Yazid differently.

Lets put this into perspective shall we? Mr.Zakir Naik should know that since he delivers his speehes all around the globe, audiences from around the world are listerning in. Part of the observers are not from the subcontinent i believe? and you come across people who equate jihad to Holy War..they have images of islamists holding a rifle in one hand and the Quran in the other. So given the delusional western population is it in the interest of Zakir Naik and the islamic community as a whole to make analogies like those? Id reiterate my point that he should have made his point in more benign ways. he talks about sopporting Osama bin Laden ( whtever the context). Do you think the British/American are going to consider the context when they hear such words? What is so damn hard to get it?

All of these videos showing the intolerance of some Muslims towards another and then at the same time calling that very person who they aim they hatred at "an idiot" was a double bashing from you. All I could think of regarding the intention behind this post was "fitnah".

No, I don't agree with Zakir Naik on this and I don't use Rahmaullah or Raziallah with Yazid's name because the scholars I follow have said that it's better not to use these terms with Yazid's name.

Zakir Naik and Shias might be mistaken but I guess they have a right to believe what they believe.
