@X2 – Do you seriously think most of the posters here would be OK if they came to know that a group of hindus were praying publicly in Saudi.

From my perspective, I used to found it odd to pray at public places. With the noise and distractions, I always felt it was difficult to be attentive to the prayer. That said, I am more of a agnostic now.

As I said before, if they felt that they needed to pray at the exact time, they should have wound up their fun time and gone back to their homes. It is not as if they were travelling and had no choice.
They were in a place that is meant for recreation. What if a group of people started talking loudly nearby.

So its funny you keep quoting Saudia again and again while the first you should understand that there is a difference b/w Saudia and US. You can totally imagine hindu worshippers doing their worship in muslim countries like Turkey. Or Egypt. Or many African countries where if you know there are a ton of indians living forever.

And your suggestion to wind up their picnic to offer 2-4 rakaah namaz is totally absurd. So basically you are saying if anyone has to pray, from any religion, they should stay home and dont go near public places. Whats so harmful in people praying for 5 min? Why is it bothering you so much? Are you bothered if someone starts singing loudly at beach etc too? Wut about drinking/smoking/dancing activities? Do you want ladies to give up bikinis too as it might bother yr spouse or your young ones? I have a ton of examples, how many you want me to quote here we can discuss each and every case.
