If you are really religious person please go & pray in private area & don’t become a public spectacle. I have seen people praying at six flag while people standing around looking at them. Being religious is fine…but keep it to yourself.

Florida people are nuts ... entire south is nuts. Even north maybe now when they see bunch of guys saying "Allah Akbar". So much fear mongering by media has done that to these dumb fellow americans. Its sad.

Don't understand what OP'S point is. People can pray wherever they want. They don't need to accommodate the ignorance of xenophobes.
When the pope visited, worship in churches where he visited was televised. What can be more public than that? Was that called a public spectacle?
People lined up to get a glimpse of the pope. Wanting their baby to be blessed. Was that a public spectacle?

How is a group of people praying among themselves equivalent to "throwing your belief in other people's face".
This logic is used by right wing to discuss sexual orientation!
As for Florida Beach not being a place of worship - that is again a distortion. A beach can be correctly stated as being NOT EXCLUSIVELY a place of worship. But if someone wants to worship at the beach, they can and SHOULD BE able to do so.
To me, when someone wants religious laws to govern the country, THAT would be throwing religion into "people's face".
Otherwise, it is posts such as this that throws their outdated opinions on other people's faces.
Some folks will be uncomfortable at the existence of others. One shouldn't pander to the least common denominator.

Is this actually an issue? I remember being shot dirty looks on flights for praying while sitting in my seat. People will be offended by anything and everything.

US is the best country in giving their citizens the right of religious freedom among many other things.
There is absolutely NOTHING wrong in offering pray whether you are on beach, shopping mall or pull your car on the street and pray on the curb.
I've seen people doing "Hari Krishna" on beach.. Should i report them the next time I see? Hell no.
Its totally ok to express your religious obligation as long as it doesnt hurt or effect anyone by any means.
Were those people praying hoarding a space someone else was using? OR yelling or hitting someone? Or expressing any other sort of hatred. Abolutely no. So let them do it.
And I so agree with Pisi. It has become a south thing now. Yet to hear any such case in north-east.
I remember once I was with my friend somewhere out and he said he had to pray and he started praying on one side. There were people going all around and one lady was walking with her lil daughter. The daughter asked mommy wut is he doing. I still remember her mother's reply very clearly. She said in a low voice, "Shh.. he's praying." and walked quietly from a distance.
This is still an amazing country to provide so much autonomy to minorities. But there'll always be bigots and racists. So let them do their job while we do ours..

It is customary for Hindus to do their prayers on the shores of a river. Facing East in the morning. And West in the evening.
Some worship the elements - such as Wind, Sun, Water, Fire.
